If the majority of Americans were against immigration, it would be stopped very quickly. they aren't, not as a majority. there are lots of people who are against it, and lots in favor. that's why our immigration policies are so messed up, because as a nation, we're very conflicted in our opinions on the subject. By the way, the US takes in over a million legal immigrants every year, more than the rest of the world combined. do you really think that would happen if the majority really were against it? |

As others have stated, Illegal immigration is what most Americans are against and one other thing. If you move to American, you should adopt the American lifestyle and customs, not impose yours on us and expect Americans to change things to accommodate the immigrants home country lifestyle. If you come to America, make an effort to learn English, accept American holidays and culture. They can still practice their home customs in their own home as long as it doesn't break American law. |

but since i like to speak my mind i have somethin else to say.. i am ***** sick an tried of all these beaner and there dam mexican music in california.. i cant even walk down the street without a ***** beaner yell shiit out the window when they drive by and there ghetto music on for everybodies mamma to here..lol.. and the worst part is most of them have been in this country for years and still they don't no how to speak english and yet they laugh at me when i cant spanish when this is AMERICA (learn ***** ENGLISH!!!) |

Americans are not against immigration, we are against illegals, illegals are not immigrants. Illegals spread disease, lower property values, lower our educational system, raise crime rates, sponge off gov. programs for anchor babies, take jobs real American citizens need. 100% of them are not immigrants, they may be descendants of immigrants but they were born here. I am American Indian, instead of using the past as an excuse for illegals we should have learned from the past not to allow this country to be invaded with the likes of these illegals!! |

my family came in 1620. i welcome legal immigrants, illegals is what we don' need or want. we are tired of paying for them. if they was legal then we wouldn't be having economy problems. the would be paying in taxes. illegals all over the world is causing the economy to suffer. and we hard working honest people of the world is having to pick up the tab. |

Illegal immigration is against the law as stated in US Code 8. And illegal immigration does cause long term social and economic problems including the crime and terrorism it brings along. |

Yes America is the land of where dreams come true, but what is really that great about it.. Many of americans are in debt due to too many credit cards. you can have whatever you hearts desire is here but It doesn't mean that you are ever really going to own it. Well, it's not the majority of Americans, but people will try to tell you that it is. See, what people do, especially on here is create multiple accounts to try and make people think that it's the majority of people that are against it. But these same people are the ones that don't know any immigrants personally and watch way way too much TV. The media is so one-sided today, and if you notice when ever an illegal immigrant commits a crime, they don't only tell you his/her full name, they show their picture and tell exactly what city they are from. Hate groups and these so-called patriotic Americans have exploited our media....they spread their hate and lies all day long.

very true and I believe that's what has made America as great as it is.
And why do you have any more right to live in your country than anyone else you personally haven't built it up, and if your saying people have no right to live there then your saying they deserve to live where ever they do even if its dangerous and full of suffering.
The job thing is what irritates me most ethnic minorities are always statistically less able to get jobs due to employer discrimination if they did take your job they probably work harder and are better at it then you.
to those that say that they come just to live of benefits the majority of people that do that are native to the country and this contradicts the "they take our jobs" thing.
The culture "problem" with people coming who cannot speak English is a contradiction because the original culture of the Americas would be that of the native Americans not English plus there are many advantages of living in a multicultural society anyway.
Economically immigrants are an advantage as they are often forced to take the jobs nobody else wants which are some of the most vital to the economy as a whole.
