Why are there 2 American flags at the bottom of the page? I am so confused. Please help me.?

the italian and mexican flags are not the same. look closely. and yahoo answers in espanol is still a USA site just for the spanish speaking population.

Unlike other countries, America has no 'official' language. Yahoo! is recognizing the fact that a large minority of Americans now speak Spanish as their first language - some as their only language. Spanish is now the majority language in California.

If we ever make English our official language, I guess they'll drop the Spanish page... NOT!

It is for people who live in the US, with news, etc about the US (Not other latinoamerican countries), but for people who prefer to read in spanish.

I never noticed that but it doesn't surprise me. The site is a US company sponsored site so in order to stay marketable it is necessary to sale out and be PC. When will this country stop catering to everyone else and stand up for itself.

Probably for Spanish speaking Americans so they can access the American(U.S.) version in Spanish .As for the Italian flag you will notice that the center is all white ,while Mexico has an emblem in the center.

If you don't like English-speaking Americans click on the Espanol-speaking American Flag to peruse yahoo! Answers. There is only one Mexico flag, kind of like the Italian flag. Both countries are Roman Catholic by law, but the Mexican flag borrowed from a story from the Aztecs to illustrate how Mexico City was founded and put that on their flag so it doesn't look like an Italian flag.

So, click the little flags. See if those versions of yahoo! Answer do it for you.

i don't know what the hell up with that sure yahoo know that there is only one Americans flag and it stand for all the Americans citizens not the illegals Mexicans . thank for pointing that out .

There are NOT two American flags at the bottom of my page unless I click on the one then I have spanish language but still only one American flag. The other two are as folks are telling you Italy and mexico. I have to say while I have and ear or eye I agree with every one here its time for the American Citizens to stand up while we still have a Country..they're coming in fast!

Everybody trying to explain this so delicately. There are two American flags because we are preparing to roll over and let them take our land. Plain and simple to be honest. Isn't it easier for us to learn Spanish in order to assimilate with them than for them to learn English and assimilate with us? We are after all; One nation, under Canada, Divisible, with liberty and justice for all illegals. Lets all be politically correct, we don't want to upset anyone.

The flag labeled en EspaÃ±ol is for the spanish speaking immigrants from Mexico. There dialect is different from Spain and Central American, South American spanish.

That has to do with the wacko civil laws passed to give them the right to have that crap placed everywhere.

Flags can not be in English you dum E! They can be Spanish but not in Spanish. A flag is not a language.
