Why arent that many African Americans protesting Immigration, both Legal and Illegal forms of it?

I ask because as African Americans have a longer more established history in the US, it seems they have more reason and right to be angered by immigration to America. It also seems that especially with Illegal Hispanic immigrants, its the poor African Americans whose neighborhoods and jobs that are most affected and taken over by immigrants. Looking throughout history it seems immigrants always had a better chance than African Americans even if they were fresh off the boat. So I guess what Im asking is, why haven't African Americans been as vocal in the immigration debate because it seems of all the Americans of Ethnic descent that they have at least earned the right to have a problem with it? I say that in regards to say a second generation Irish or Russian American protesting immigration when they themselves have ancestors who were in another country and are still alive today. As African Americans have been here for 500+ years, Im surprised to see less of them who protest immigration.

There is a black radio show host in Los Angeles named Terry Anderson, and he only focuses on illegal immigration, which is rampant on the West Coast. He talks about how illegals generally move into black neighborhoods, and after they are there in very large numbers, they begin harassing black residents. The Crispus Attucks Brigade, named after a notable black man who was one of the first killed fighting for American sovereignty, is an organization founded by African-Americans who fight against illegal immigration. I know that some black people joined the Minutemen. I have a friend in California, and he said that many black people show up at anti-illegal immigration rallies out there. However, the mainstream media and paid-off black "leaders" the media promotes work overtime to give the impression that black people, generally, are neutral on this issue.

I know MANY African Americans that are indeed against illegal immigration and are quite active in the movement to stop them. Everyone just thinks it is only the "whites" but they are dead wrong. I know plenty of legal immigrants that are disgusted by illegals as well.

There are African Americans protesting about illegal immigration because the immigrants not only take benefits from blacks but from other americans. They come over here get welfare from the gov. such as food stamps and medicaid but never pay taxes. That costs the gov more money because they are giving money away but are not receiving it. Thats why this country is in recession.

Well, considering most "Hispanics" are 50% or more Amerindian and have been on this continent for well over 35,000 years, anyone's claim that they don't belong in any part of the Americas is bogus.

Because many African Americans have lived racism in their own skin. Generations of them.
And they know that the excuses given by some people in the USA is just hidden feelings of racism and discrimination against minorities.
They also feel that some supremacy groups that also hates African Americans, are using them to get rid of other minority groups, not because they are accepting them but just because they need to help to get rid of the others. But then those supremacy groups will continue with the hate toward Blacks.

This question has already been asked on here. Lets start with the Africans didn't illegally cross the border they were forced here. And the fact that they are American citizens and care about the economy and other ways their country will be affected by amnesty could be good reasons why. The situations are incomparable you can't even begin to compare what happened to them to illegals that crossed the border. Africans deserved citizenship and so much more for what they went through.They didn't ask for it. They didn't choose to come here illegally they were forced.

Not Rep or Dem!!

Well, I used to live about an hour outside of Raleigh NC, and the baptist churches used to be blamed for keeping out blacks. However, there were articles about the black baptist churches not allowing mexicans or fighting against spanish speaking services.
I have learned that African Americans seem to be more racist about immigrants than the caucasions. i guess they want to be the "main minority" and take offense when someone else tries to take over.

Sorry bro! but they know the facts on immigration (legal & illegal). They know that this country was built by immigrants, and they themselves have ties to immigrants. They know that they are not harming anyone, or threatening the economy by being here.....if they felt it was true, they would have protested a long time ago....duh!
