Why do Americans focus only on mexicans on this illegal issue?

Americans don't only focus on Mexicans on the issue of immigration, which is what I'm assuming you're asking about. Part of this issue are the unprotected borders between Mexico and the U.S., and if you recall, it has been per posed that a wall be built to help protect these areas. There are many reasons for this, on of the most important is to stop illegal immigrants from passing, Mexican and otherwise. It is very possible that people associated with Al Quaida and many other terrorist groups could enter Mexico and then the United States undetected by anyone. What has been per posed by Bush and many others is that along with protection of our borders, there is a need for a worker program so that foreign people working in this country can be monitored, not prevented from entering. I don't think that anyone denies that Mexicans and many others from foreign countries are a vital part of our workforce here in the U.S., but because of recent events, the United States must boost security along it's borders, ie, Mexico and Canada. I think that the a majority of media attention is focused on Mexicans because there are so many people (of all nationalities) that come into the U.S. via the Mexican border.

There are many racists on this website, and truthfully they dont care. They dont want to take the time to find out where a person is actually from. They just want to point fingers. They think all Hispanic people are Mexican and all Asian are Chinese. Though, the majority overall do come from Mexico. We are in very close proxcimity.

Most Americans don't take issue with race, they do however take issue with the ILLEGAL part of it. Mexico has a sloppy immigration and police force , this is a fact, Mexico has a double standard when it comes to immigration, they'll let their citizens come here without trying to stop them, but let someone try to enter their country illegally and they pull out all the stops. I think if you reworded your question as to why Americans don't like Mexican immigration and police actions, you'd have better and more informed responses.

It is because most of the come across the Mexican border. The U.S. shares a border with Mexico and Canada. That's why we focus on these two countries.

we have no problem with immigrants we have a problem with illegal immigrants and the majority is mexicans and they are demanding and telling us you ''change your laws'' for us , and dont protect your borders while they protect their southern border they want things to stay the same way .they didn't like the bills introduced to help them, personally i didn't either i say send all the illegals home. but they want it all ! and then some ,all the while telling us we are lazy racists who cant live without them, smart way to go hugh?

if you where a poor white hard working family try to feed and cloth your family and see that a ******* can come here and get a food stamps and housing etc, you would be upset too and they dont pay taxes send most of there money back to mexico

I am not sure what reality you live in, but in California it is all about those coming from the South. The ones i hear that are talking in radical terms are from Mexico I believe. You know take back our land, there is no illegal immigrant, and its about race rant. So obviously we take the most objection to thise that are the majority and most radical in thinking.

And as far as no objection to white illegals, i dont care what color you are. Illegal is illegal, if white Canadians were flooding our streets and doing the same things here i would complain about them too. This is not about race...

The fact that it is easier to come here from a 1st world country and that the majority of those populations are white is a different topic. Its all about your countries and your economic status and whether you will overstay your visa, not the color of your skin. I have no problem with Mexicans or others, but just bcs you are here does not entitle you to anything. Our immigration policies try to give a quota to bring people from all around the world not just one region.

I have yet to hear a valid argument about this being of race. And yes there are racist i am sure, but on a whole it is not about race!!! prove me wrong?

I had to edit cuz I just read another answer on here....what makes you think they dont pay taxes? If you get a check, you get taxes taken outta it. and you cant come here and collect food stamps UNLESS you have your papers to be here in the USA, so for the stupid answer about comming here to collect....YOUR WRONG!!

Hmmm ... well, because the flags we see flying at the illegal rallies tend to be mostly Mexican .. I mean, has anyone seen for example a German flag flown at them? Or Swedish? Or Brazilian? Or are the television crews who are out reporting on these rallies hiding anything from us? :)

We have two national boarders and two very large oceans. Very few Illegal Canadians come to this country but a lot of Illegal Mexicans come to this country. It has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with reality.
