Illegal immigrants who come here and live off our money and end up better off in some cases than us is the problem. Those that don't work and get given homes and money for nothing. That's what people don't like. We have to work, pay for everything, including for these people who shouldn't even be here.
For those who leave they leave legally and go and work in other countries for what they want and pay their way.
If they work for it and are not illegal it is slightly different, although often they are taking our jobs. |

If you go on any high street or market and I can guarantee that the first words you hear spoken are Polish, Romanian or Russian.
The unemployment figures have risen to nearly 3,000,000.
Go try to find a job and you will find immigrants have priority over the English because the employers dare not say no to them because they will be reported to the race relations board.
I haven't found one english person who has a good word for immigration "HAVE YOU" |

Oh you need the whole story , The people who leave do so because of the immigrants coming in. They want their country as it was,,, They really prefer the life here, weather excepted perhaps, But feel pushed out of things, Why cant the immigrants make their own countries better and with more opportunities,,, They would rather stay here and no more come here either |

Simply because they feel that they have been turned into second class citizens in their own country and are too frightened, tired or embarrassed to fight back.
For example- asylum seekers have an automatic right to housing where as a native born Brit doesn't. Insane! |

obviously you dont understand when british people talk about immigration,
we dont mind people moving to the UK, but some people are coming in illigally, or coming over here and gaining benifits and taking it back to the country that there from. which us brits are paying for in our taxes.
there are no decent jobs for british people anymore because of the influx of people that are moving over here, they get our jobs, because employers can pay them less.
So now we find it hard to live in our own country, which means we have to find alternatives, which is to move out of the country and go abroads so we can have "a better way of life"
just like the immigrants that are moving to the UK....
see?
god you dont know how much youve annoyed me, once you start paying taxes in the UK... you ll will have the same attitude on life like what most people have said similar things like me on this subject... |

A Brit emigrating has nothing what soever to do with mass 3rd world and asylum immigration to the UK.
Do the Spanish complain about the Brits pouring in 100,000's of euros when buying real estate?
Do the British go to other countries and live off benefits?
Do the British cram themselves 6 people into a 30 m2 apartment, turning once beautiful places into shanty towns.
Has an Englishman ever entered another country as an illegal immigrant?
Do the British make false asylum applications? |

It is probably because of its colonial past and its proximity to the Middle East and Africa, Britain has attracted a disproportionate number of people who bring over large families. British laws and human rights legislation then demand that they are housed in large houses costing £1.2m and award them benefits of over £170,000 per year. Such treatment has angered many locals who do not see why people who have never paid a day's National Insurance should be so amply rewarded. Brits travelling to Saudi Arabia to better themselves will not be so treated, will they? |

We only complain about those immigrants who do not work and claim benefits. |

There is an element of radical Islamists that has entered the UK. I suspect that if many Britons are concerned about immigration into their country, that is one of the reasons, especially in light of the terrorist attacks that occurred in London. |

English people feel pushed out of their own country. Immigrants move in to exploit the gap created by New Labours policies. The Conservative amongst us, have risen above this new underclass. New Labour clings on to them because they are mired in creating social division. If you lick the plate of privilege clean - John Prescott - Then you need lower class citizens to fill it!. |

I think a perfect solution would be to deport all the immigrants here and then take back all the British people that left because of immigration. |

Strangely enough, a lot of British people head for Canada, one of the most diverse nations on this earth where people are encouraged to celebrate both Canadian citizenship and their heritage,

they are terrified of being taken over and they tend to believe the tabloid press who stoke it all up...and they see them selves as better than other countries so it's one rule for them and a different one for everyone else. |

Because they are racist and/or uneducated.
And I hope that those saying they are off to NZ or wherever are introduced to the racists over there. Then they will know how it feels to be demonized for no reason other than being foreign! |

I know. SO hypocritical isn't it.
British people in the most part are against immigration because of ignorance.
They don't associate immigration in any way to their own quests to better their own lives!
How many people expressing views here actually know immigrants? Through work I know a lot. They work for us (IT) because they are skilled, bright, intelligent and very hard working. We recruit purely on ability and attitude, and end up with a lot of Indian immigrants as they are the best people for the job. They aren't stealing job from the brits - we would (and do) recruit Brits when they're the best qualified.
These people are very bright, and have a lot of pride. They are as far from a sterotypical sponging immigrant as you can get
SO all the people who are anti immigrants.. who do you know, and what has your experince been?
BTW - I am not at all saying that the UK's immigration's policy is correct. It's very wrong. I just think the vilification of immigrants is based on beliefs more than facts... |
