Why do Holland and Germany love the EU so much?
|
Because it allows them to send all their illegal immigrants and asylum seekers to the UK.

Any Dutch person I know is no more enamoured of the EU than we are.
They complain that with the introduction of the Euro all prices went instantly up
Don't like the rules and regulations and the Politician's gravy train either. |

I don't want to read your entire link, I see your point, but I still think European Countries also have a fair share of asylum seekers. |

you got it in one tommy mate-have a star!.
not so long ago on this site people like myself mike ingham and rommel were castigated for telling the truth about immigration and the potential problems it will bring to our country.
now more and more people are beginning to see the truth for themselves.
welcome to the light. |

The answer is the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg where in the BENELUX Group (the first three countries in the EU) and the dutch helped to write treaty of maastricht in February 1953 which advocated for a common market throughout Europe! Germany at the time was Split into west and east Germany and was controlled in the west by Britain, France, the USA and the USSR. The EU has helped Germany to become the one of the richest countries in Europe and has given them a strong Economy
Think about that before you mention Asylum Seakers |

I'm a Brit that lives in Germany.
Your comments about illegal assylum seakers is ridiculous.
How can someone that has been granted political assylum be an illegal immigrant ?
Illegal immigrants have absolutely NO travel rights in the EC, because they don't have valid documentation.
I don't think you appreciate exactly how unbelievably difficult it is for these people to actually achieve assylum here.
The overwhelming majority, while under review for assylum, are allowed to stay here without the right to work or travel to any other EC country.
They are housed in derelict buildings, rather like prisons.
Assylum itself is extremely difficult to achieve, the applicants must prove beyond a doubt that their lives are at risk if they are sent back. This process can take years.
If assylum is refused, they are sent back to their home country on the next available flight. The right of appeal is limited to only borderline cases.
Only about thirty percent of assylum seekers ahieve this, the rest are considered to be economic migrants.
When people achieve assylum, they then have the right to travel to any EC country they chose.
Great Britain gives assylum to about the same number of people (or more) as Germany, and these have the same rights of travel in the EC.
Because England was going through such a boom period until this recent economic crash, it is possible that many migrants travelled there.
The ease in which they can set up businesses in England, compared to the continent, is perhaps another reason. But if these people are working why should that be a problem ?
By far the greatest immigration into England in recent years is by Polish and "east block" people. The building boom, together with very high wages and easy regulations, locked these immigrants into coming to England.
But now that boom is over, are these eastern block people staying or have most returned to their home countries ?
I don't know the situation in Holland, but I doubt it is any easier.
Holland is after all, is the most densely populated country on earth. |

I wasn't aware the dutch like the E.U. but Germany loves the E.U because being the biggest nation in the E.U, it basically controls it.
Did you Know that hitler had a plane called the EEC which was a political Idea, by which germany (being the largest nation in europe), could take over europe by political agreement, if germany lost the war.
Guess what, germany lost the war and now they are running europe. |

well in the uk we are made to believe we are the only ones who dont like the EU, but im pretty sure its becoming more and more unpopular across the whole continent. Probably not in eastern europe as they are filling their pockets in western europe. |

What a wonderful sweeping generalisation!
I have to ask - did you actually read (and digest) the article yourself before making this genuis deduction?
If you read it, Holland (actually it's the Netherlands and not Holland if you want to play being pedantic), did not SEND these people. They choose to move to the UK of their own will, based on their views of what they wanted.
The fact that the UK apparently possesses the environment that suits this desire is not something that NL or Germany can influence.
'Freedom of workers" is a generic right of everyone in the EU, and beleive me it is a privelidge that many people (including myself) would not like to lose.
Please do trying reading before posting first!
P.S. - actually you are posting both a question and answer itself thus proving this is not a serious question anyway |
