I DON'T hate immigrants of ANY color. I just want them to come here and become a citizen LEGALLY some they can pay taxes,etc.

I don't see why immigrants want to come in American illegally because 1. they have no life style because they don't have any information or even money. 2. Maybe doesn't understand our language.
Many people have hatred towards these illegal immigrants because they have no right to come into this new country for free. All the other immigrants had to go through all the signing to beome a citizen, I was one.
People don't hate them because of their color, wealth, language, or like...where the hell did you get that from?
If the illegal immigrants actually went through the paper work to become a citizen, I will not have any problem.

I don't think anyone hates them, but rather, they hate what they do.

They trespass and come into this country illegally, knowing it's wrong. They burden many of our systems, keeping it impossible to get these social services to Americans who really need them. They keep our minimum wages where they are, tax our healthcare, school, and medical systems.
Also, they bring gangs, drugs, violence and diseases.

We need to hold the Mexican govt accountable for improving their own economy so that they won't feel the need to come here for free services.

For instance, why would a pregnant Mexican have a baby in Mexico at the cost of $2700.00 when they can come here and have it for free?

These are not the same immigrants who came to this country in the early 1900's. Those people came here to build up a country and make it great. Not destroy it and tear it down.

The Mexicans who cross over in the middle of the night without papers and approval are ILLEGALS IMMIGRANTS and those who go through the process and laws of the nation of USA and get approved to enter and LEGAL IMMIGRANTS..............

I don't HATE immigrants one bit and I don't know ANYONE who does.

What I despise is ILLEGAL immigration......but I don't hate the people involved.

Immigration and ILLEGAL immigration are two distinct and separate matters.

PS...Even "native Americans" came here from somewhere else. They IMMIGRATED here from Asia by coming across the "land bridge".

The legality of one's immigration status IS the issue. When you dismiss this notion, then you dismiss people's objection to the American-Mexican border issue.

America has the right to control commerce, trade, and citizen status within its border. If America cannot control or restrict what happens in America, then chaos runs the government.

You state, "What if from now on all immigrants entering the U.S. were legal." Then please define "immigrants." The fact that the media has coined the term, "illegal immigrants" sets up your quandary. Fact is: Mexicans entering into America ILLEGALLY are criminals--plain and simple. They are not immigrants because to be an immigrant, one must abide by the immigration laws of America. Immigration status is bestowed upon a person by the government--not simply walking ILLEGALLY into a country.

Therefore, your question is, "Why do YOU hate CRIMINALS?"

Where do you get 'hate' from? Have you even read about this issue? Do you just assume anytime the law's enforced that it's because somebody hates somebody?

actually it IS because theyre illegal and they WOULDNT change the law tomorrow because laws have REASON behind them. its not like theyde change murder to not be a crime anymore. same goes for people stealing what we have here murdering our country. cry all you want you're still wrong. most americans agree with me. 90% in fact.

How can you honestly say that everyone hates immigrants. You do not know what people like or dislike. People who say that everyone hates someone because of race, creed, color, handicap, etc. etc. has insecurites or are themselves racist.

It is litteraly impossible for you to know how someone thinks about someone or how they feel.

Be it they are from a different culture, color, religion, nationality, size or anything that makes one different from the other is no reason to think that everyone hates someone.

There are people who DISLIKE people who come into this country illegally to find work to feed their starving families and such.

I am not one of those people who HATE or DISLIKE anyone. You should have chosen a better choice of words.

I have been on this site for a long time. I can't say I remember seeing but maybe 1 or 2 statemtents saying they dislike immigrants.

In no way should it be made legal for the Illegals to be here. I have to face the law when I break it and they should have no get out of jail free card unless I can have one too. So if all Illegals would get legal I would not have a complaint and I am willing to bet 90% of the others or even more would have no problem with them either.

There is very little hate from white to any other color of skin that I see. It is normally the other way around. Most all that are not white hate whites.

Unless you're a "Native American," you're an "immigrant" yourself, and thus a shameless hypocrite if you hate immigrants.

It's just the usual case of people trying to defend the status-quo. We're comfortable here in our suburban sheltered ignorance, and it seems easy to blame all society's ills on "illegals," even though they might do a nice job on our lawns.

I'm not saying our system of dealing with illegal immigration works. But people come here for a reason - namely, work. And guess who hires them? People who want cheap labor and no questions asked. So where's the problem? Mexicans wouldn't come here if there weren't an endless supply of jobs available from people who don't feel like paying a decent wage.

Incidentally, you can't live off "social services" as an illegal. lol...how exactly would that work?

I don't really hate them. They are just trying to make the best of a bad situation. I just don't care to have them trying to enter our country illegally. That's just wrong no matter what way you look at it. From a social to an economic view it hurts our country and it's an insult to the numerous immigrants who have strived hard and have made it here legally. Hopefully things can be done both from our side and theirs to make this situation become more agreeable. Our side for getting rid of some of the red tape and B.S. surrounding the immigration policies, and their side for making their own country more reasonable to live in and if immigrating at least attempting to abide by our culture and country. Learn to speak english, pay taxes, and try to make the best out of our immigration process.

Immigrants is a rather broad category and there are many immigrants that are legal, did you mean to say illegal immigrants?

Well, the only problem I have with illegal immigrants is that some say they want to live the "American Dream," if this is true then they would go through the process of becoming a legal citizen.

I know our ancestors did not have to go through a process to become American or "legal," but times have changed.

I do not hate them. If tomorrow the laws were changed and they became illegal, I still wouldn't think that it is right to allow that many people to come across the border into America. There are many legal immigrants who come from Mexico and I don't hate them, so it can't have anything to do with being poor, brown, Spanish speaking. I don't care if they are poor or rich, brown or white, but I don't want them coming across the border, not paying taxes, getting free education and medical treatment. Basically taking from the tax payers without ever paying taxes. I don't like the fact that they work for less money than any American can be hired for. And I HATE the fact that you try to make it a race issue.

I donâ€™t hate immigrants at all. Criminals I dislike very strongly. I stand against anyone that abuses they system of the kindness of others. To me these people rate right up there with bullies. I have no patience for laziness. Donâ€™t drain our systems because you are too lazy to work on your own. Donâ€™t steal what I have earned go earn your own. If you abide by the laws of the country then you have as much right as anyone to go as far as you can; however; it is not my job to pave the road for you, nor is it my responsible to support ANY criminal behavior.

Are you referring to the people who are sneaking across our borders,using all of our services,taking jobs from American citizens, and demonstrating in the streets for all the rights a citizen has? And yes ILLEGAL is exactly the word. What about the word illegal do you not understand? To me an immigrant is one who comes here LEGALLY and yes that person will be welcomed. I will not welcome someone who chooses to not obey or laws right off the bat.

I don't hate immigrants. We are a nation of immigrants. My mother's family came over on the second voyage of the Mayflower. My father's family came over during the Irish Potato Famine. Some people do hate immigrants. I believe them to be in the minority.

I don't hate legal immigrants. I don't 'hate' illegal immigrants either, but I think we need to enforce our limits on immigration of poor people who take more out in services than they pay in taxes, because our schools, health care and other services are being ruined for our own people. That is why the laws exist, to begin with.

Just making all immigrants legal ignores the REASON there is a law.

I do not hate immigrants, but this is what I notice all haters have in common:

1. Illiteracy, lack of education. Many are drop-outs even.

2. Unemployed, working on a "feast or famine" job, because of #1.

3. Ignorant about cultures. They have hardly traveled out of their state, let alone abroad. So, they are apprehensive towards anything and anyone who is different.

4. Envy. Immigrants are smarted in that they come to our land and take advantage of opportunities available here, that Americans despise and take for granted. When the immigrants harvest their success, the bashers hate them for making all the right decisions.

5. Just hateful, angry, sore humans that need to revert it to positive energy. Sad way to live

I will try to honestly answer your question but I think you are just going to dismiss it out of hand. You already have before I have even responded

I do not hate Immigrants. My ex Wife (Whom I am still friends with) was a resident Alien who only got her citizenship after we were divorced. My new Fiancee I am working to get her VISA so she can come to the United States. I have many friends and aquaintances who are immigrants who came to this country. they Have since either gotten their citizenship or are LEGAL resident Aliens.

I hate illegal immigration. and yes that really IS a reason regardless of what you think (And the reason I think you will dismiss me out of hand)
Illegal Immigration is a real problem for many reasons.
a) Crime. in many forms. I am in South Texas. many people who live in the Rio Grand Vally are afraid because of illegals who come across and steal what they need to survive as they make their trip north to find work. Many farms are broken into and food and other things are stolen. Not to mention the crime of traffiking in human beings. Here in Victoria County 19 illegals were found dead. suffocated in the back of a trailer.

b)Money. Illegals cannot legally work. They work "off the books" and do not pay taxes. Nor do their employers pay taxes on them. This shifts the tax burden onto the rest of our's shoulders. Also the health care that welfare services and health care systems have to shoulder for all of those illegals who dont pay and dont have insurance. that drives up the cost for those of us who do pay and forces many other to not be able to pay the rising cost creating more who dont pay. (Vicious circle).

c) Drugs. Many of the same people who run illegals across the border also run drugs and force illegals to be carriers of drugs. Many of our bordertowns are taken over by drug gangs and law inforcement is non-existant. This goes hand in hand with the Illegal Immigration problem.

I don't have a problem personally with many of the individual illegal immigrants. most are people who are just trying to survive and better themselves.
My problem is with the Illigal immigration SITUATION

Our borders have to be closed down to people to just come across at will. As I mentioned above I am working to get my fiancee a VISA to come here. Much of that process is a screening process to weed out criminals, druggies, terrorists, and other nondesirables from entering our country. The porous nature of our borders today mocks that and makes it irrelavent as they can just sneak in with ease.

Please do yourself and everyone else a favor and stop spindoctoring and twisting things to put a bad light on others who dont agree with you.

is it from crop exports, or any type of trade goods to other countries? nope
number 3 is tourism (from America mostly)
number 2 is Drugs (to America Mostly)

It's the illegals one that I hate and to answer your question about if they change the law to make them legal then they also need to change the law to get all the peoples that are in Jail/prison to where they havn't broken the laws neithers. The illegal one bring in diseases too. I also hate anyone you fly their country flag over my country. This is a disgrate to everyone who have fought for this country. Furthermore if they don't know or langage (american english) they have no right in my country. Everyone who come into the US should know the langage before they come here.
