Why do illegal immagrants in America think they have rights?

Assistant U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton committed this injustice, and shortly after the government entered into settlement negotiations with the smuggler. It is rumored that the 5 million he was seeking was settled out of court for 3.75 million dollars.

For one thing, if they pump out an illegitimate baby on US soil, the kid is considered as US citizen, so the mother can collect benefits "for the baby". And yes, us working people that were born here have to pay for it. And the liberals think that's the way it should be. They always worry more about the rights of law-breakers than the rights of the law-abiding.

Because we give them the SAME rights as a citizen. I am not recommending they be treated like dogs as someone suggests. I am saying that they BROKE THE LAW. My wife is a legal immigrant. She had a ten year multiple entry VISA and could enter the U.S. any time she wanted to. We could have done it the illegal way and had her come over here and we get married, after our child was born apply for citizenship. Hell we could have received government assistance while she was here illegally. We did none of that. We went through the system the right way. It was the most expensive decision I have ever made.

For those of you who think we should just give illegalâ€™s their citizenship and not deport them let me explain how the LEGAL way of doing this is. First, we applied for a fiancÃ© visa. This took a long time and $500 non refundable. Even though my wife had a visa already they wanted this done. Then we had to pay to get married. My wife was not allowed to work for the first year of our marriage because the government wanted to make sure I could support her. Even though she holds a BS in engineering and could have a job in a heart beat we still had to wait. Then we had to pay fees for all the paperwork that is involved in processing an immigrant. One hundred dollars here for that paper and three hundred for that one. In the end, it was about $2000 a year in fees for the first three years of marriage. We also received a letter on a Monday that said we had to be in Chicago on Thursday to have an interview so I had to take the day off from work and go through a 5 minute interview there. In the end, it was the most stressful and frustrating experience I have ever been through. As a result, I am very mad when I hear illegalâ€™s say that they deserve the same rights as I have.

The fact is people, they donâ€™t want us in their country and they donâ€™t want us to tell them how to treat people but when the shoe is on the other foot it is a different matter. They should have basic human rights but the same as me or you? I donâ€™t think so. We pay taxes, defend our country and are productive members of society. What do they do except demand we give up our culture and accommodate them? If one of them is hurt when they are here I say patch them up and then send them back to their country of origin. I am tired of paying taxes for the free ride many of them enjoy. If they want to work in this country then I say fine there also. Just apply for a work visa and when you get it come over and work. The ones who are causing the problems have no interest in being a productive member of American Society. They are interested in the free ride.

I think that they believe that if they claim rights long and loud enough people will believe it. However, just because they say they have rights doesn't make it true.

Lots of these immigrants are heavily influenced ,by a Mexican movement known as La Raza meaning The Race.La Raza teaches them to believe Extreme Leftist views on America for example they are taught to think that the U.S.southwest is part of Mexico ,that we stole it from them.They also believe that their race is the best and to serve no other but their own the bronze race.Sort of like a bunch of Nazi's with sombreros and corona's!

they should not have rights. and this crap about "The Europeans did the same thing" is false. Yes there were cases but it was not the epidemic that illegal immigration is now. It was the exception to the rule as opposed to the rule illegals are now...they break into my country, whatever the reason, and then have the balls to tell me how to run MY country and what I am going to do....F them.

My family was broken up since my grandmother and kids were not allowed in USA till my grandfather had come over, gotten job and housing. So don't whine and piss at me about "human dignity" and all that BS. It's ok to force the white people to obey laws and break up white families but if there is any hint of a color then all rules are suspended and everyone must donate $50,000 for the "human fund". Its because like many have state, our government and the ACLU have let them get away with alot of it. They have more rights than LEGAL citizens do. The two border agents who are in prison for doing their job should be set free in my opinion not be in there being beaten by the very people he was ordered to keep out of our country. I absolutely agree with you. It is disgusting. Last spring/summer they marched on Washington, D.C. Why didn't anyone call the INS/Border Patrol and round 'em up and ship them back to Mexico/Central America?

I pay more than 28 percent of my income in taxes. What percentage do the illegals pay? I went to college and grad school nights and weekends and worked crappy, low-paying jobs for ten+ years to pay for my education. Now (in Maryland) the liberal state legislative is proposing that ILLEGALS be "entitled" to grants/scholarships.

Give me a break! ENOUGH already!

Have you been to you local food stamp and welfare office, or government assistance office if so you can see that it is evident that they have more rights then we as Legal Citizens. My brothers and I are hard workers and we have been taught to work for what you get, and we do. However last year they found that one of my brothers was born without one kidney and needed and kidney transplant. He could not and is still not working, thank God they found a kidney, but when he went to see about getting help they told him that they could not help him and gave him one reason after another, however there was a line of Mexicans waiting for their food stamps and government help walking in and come out like crazy with their stamps in hand.

Hopefully one day they will rise up and demand more rights of their own government so they won't feel the need to sneak over here and demand more rights of ours (doesn't make much sense, does it?).

Unfortunately we have a system set up that rewards them for this behavior.

Unfortunately we have reached a point that people who do not wish to go through the proper procedures, are wanting to receive the same rights that my earlier, and many of your, forefathers, who legally became American citizens, rightfully gained for their later generations to enjoy.
There is a key word that is sometimes mentioned when referring to those who are not properly obtaining citizenship, sometimes it is mentioned and sometimes it is conveniently hidden. This word is "Illegal", when tied on to the word alien, to make the title "Illegal alien", this specific word makes the process against the law.

Although no one in our country gets treated equally, this is not just something that occurs,just in America, but America is not the only country at fault. Americans cannot become Mexican citizens at any point, not even in a legal manner, but we are expected to accept everyone, felon or not. This is not the only matter in which we Americans have been discriminated in and it is not just the Mexican government that has been oppressive to our people, but America and its people are discriminated worldwide, for both doing too little and in some cases, doing too much. When you help everyone it is easy for those that are watching the events, and doing nothing to help, to point fingers at America and scream that we are doing wrong. They throw rocks while living in glass "countrys"

As Americans who have everything, or at least access to it, there are others all over the globe dedicated to keeping us from the right to live. Not just to live freely, but to Live period. So some of us want to keep a closer watch on our borders, so we want to know who comes into our country, so we want people to learn our government and how it works and what it stands for, so we want people coming into our country to learn our languageâ€¦ which is something we are expected to do while visiting other countries, so what if we would like some things done to accommodate some sense of security.

This is not to say that everyone that comes into our country illegally is a bad person, or that they intend to do wrong, but that through this same process there are those people who do intend and will attempt to harm the people that are in America. A good amount, but probably not the majority, as we have no true way to monitor, are people getting away from their current governments to avoid being prosecuted for the things that they have illegally done in their own country. (I.e. murder, rape, and other illegal activity)

The world will never truly be free or equal until we all learn to respect others thoughts and beliefs and our governments learn to deal with each other without boastful egos that result in war. But until these events occur we need to do what we can to reserve the current citizens rights to live securely without giving up any of the current freedoms we have to those who circumvent this nations laws but expect their "rights" They do not have a right to emter this nation illegally. Fact ! Truth ! The law!

God bless America and those that come to live in it. Our laws are set up to provide safety for the people here and for those that will be here in the future legally,not for interlopers from other countrys that demand rights,that they have no right to have in this nation.

You are 100% correct. If you are not here legally, you do not have the same rights as a citizen of the U.S. I do agree there are basic HUMAN rights they have, but NO rights in the U.S. What they do not understand is that human rights and citizen's rights are not the same thing. Human rights means that we shouldn't treat them like dogs as was suggested earlier, we should treat them as we would want to be treated as a human being. However, our government and our country OWES THEM NOTHING. They deserve no money, no voice in what is going on. They deserve the right for us to politely put them on a plane and send them back to wherever they came from.

Try going over to Mexico or any other country for that matter, and demanding the government there that you want money, housing, food, free education for your children, oh and I don't speak the language so you have to give me all these services in English. After they pick themselves up off the floor laughing, they will send you on a one way ticket back, politely of course.

If they do it illegally then they are just criminals like any other.

The reason nothing is being done is our weak politicians.. on both sides. i think all those rich lawyers, of which most of them are.. all have hired illegals in their households and don't want to give up anything. It is our government that is allowing the illegality to go on. At the expense of the American public , I might ad.

Believe it or not there are actually laws on the books that protect illegal immigrants in our country, which is absolutely absurd and someone ought to try to get them taken off the books.

"Children born to aliens who are lawfully inside the United States (resident or visitor), with the intention of amicably interacting with its people and obeying its laws."
