Many immigrants take the chance because they have better odds of success in the U.S. Remember, Europeans were immigrants at one time. Did any of them check with Native Americans to make sure they were here legally?

And the Latino culture is too corrupt to create their own in Mexico.Everything else you hear in this debate is pure liberal & latino propaganda. You don't see "Anglos" running into Mexico illegally like a moralless culture...If they come in here, It will be just like down there! because the US appears to them as a successful country, and now they want to lay claim upon it. I haven't heard anyone say another 3rd world country is theirs. If the US has the same economy as say.... India, you think mexicans would still say the US is originally theirs?

Possible reasons:

The people who hire undocumented workers don't take the law seriously --> there are plenty of jobs for such workers!

It's only a misdemeanor for the workers, it's not a serious felony.

The illegal immigrants need or want to make better money to feed their families.

Some parts of southern TX were once Mexican territory but were claimed by the US after the Spanish American War -- people don't seem to forget these border disputes!.
