Why do people forget the fact that unless your an indian, your family came from an immigrant?

Americans don't question their right to live on stolen land. Hmmm...do you think that's why we support Israel? And we also conveniently forget that their ancestors had to struggle with language differences when they came over. And that many cities still have ethnic neighborhoods with signs/newspapers/etc in Polish or some other language besides English. But we consider that a quaint reminder of our past, while we scorn people who have come over more recently, especially if they have darker skin. Guess we should modify the Statue of Liberty, since we only accept the tired, poor, and hungry on a conditional basis, and we don't want too many of them! Geez, you'd think we weren't one of the richest countries in the world!

WE CAME HERE LEGALLY get that through your head. What happened hundreds of years ago is of no consequence right now. So just because some of our ancestors came here and took over north america does that mean that illegal immigrants are allowed to come here now and take all of our benefits, ruin our neighborhoods? Some of you really don't seem to get the financial distress most of us will be in once they are allowed to stay. They always end up having more rights than we (who were born here) do. BTW, my family is american indian and most people who can trace their family back to the colonies have some percentage american indian blood.

The only problem I have with illegal immigrants is that, the citizens of our country have to pay taxes and they don't!

We don't "hate" imigrants. In fact, nobody gives a rip if someone wants to immigrate here - its the ILLEGAL immigrants that upset us.

Yes, our ancestors immigrated here. They came here, they learned english, OBEYED THE LAWS, and they melted here.

Many of these illegal immigrants are here to live the American Dream, they're here to make American Money, to send back to Mexico.

17 hospital have had to close down due to BANKRUPTCY in California because they get stiffed on every other bill because illegal immigrants simply give a fake name and then leave afterwards. What do you think happened to the families of those doctors that worked there?

Again, nobody has a problem with immigrants. But if you come here, DO IT LEGALLY.

I don't have a problem with immigrants, I have a problem with illegal immigrants. They are here, taking jobs away from tax paying citizens. They need to get back on the boat they came here in, and go back. The U.S.'s unemployment rate is bad enough. We don't need the jobs that are available, taken over by illegals, even if it pays minimum wage. It is still a job.

Furthermore, there are not grades of citizenship. One is either a citizen of this country, or one is not. We are not more or less citizens of the United States based on the number of generations preceding us on these shores.

And, particularly, we are not more or less citizens of this country based on our skin color or ethnicity.

Since everyone in the world has ancestors who immigrated from somewhere else, the immigration history of one's ancestors is probably not relevant to the formulation of wise public policy.

So! what's you point? There is a Big difference between then and now. Most American's whether they be born or naturalized don't don't have a problem with allowing people into our country. It just needs to be done in the proper order. Back then they were taken to immigration island and processed into our country. These people are just crossing the boarded and not registering or anything. That is illegal and wrong. Their blantant desrespect for the whole procedure says alot about who they are. It is also not fair to the ones that are following the proper way into our country. Do you like it when someone cuts in front of you lets say at the grocery store, or a line for refreshment at the movies or concert? It's not fair, you've waited the time why should they get back to the movie before you. Get my point! We have nothing against immigrants just the illegal ones that can't follow our laws!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do it the right way then I'm all for it. I can't blame someone for wanting to come into this great country that I love so much and that offers so many opportunities!

First off, I do have "Native American" blood, but it goes back to the revolutionary war, so the % is very low. Indians are from India. If you are going to argue a point, try not to do it by calling people with ridiculous terms that were coined by a man who thought he had landed on the east coast of INDIA!

Secondly, it is commonly believed that even "Native Americans" migrated to North America from Asia...so WE ALL, whether we have two drops of "native" blood or not, are immigrants....but the issue at hand is LEGAL IMMIGRATION vs. ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

You are right about one thing: All of us who were born in the U.S.A. were born truly blessed, because others the world over have it so hard, and many here do not even know what they have, and don't appreciate it enough to try to preserve it.

Your statement is true, however, depending on your age, the majority of them came to America legally. They did not sneak into the country, work for cash under the table, avoiding paying any taxes, and living off our welfare and free medical system for those who can't or won't pay for it.
That is my reason for hate. If you want to be an American, go through the proper process, and when you get here, don't expect me to change for you. Learn OUR language, and don't expect to see any signs or business's written or spoken in a foreign language.
