Why do people keep saying horrible things about the Minutemen?

There is no rational support for illegal aliens, therefore their supporters must seize every flimsy excuse they can find, like playing the race card when Minutemen are black, brown, white and every other color.
Like 'jobs Americans won't do', another fallacy.
They cannot refute the arguments against illegal aliens and the negative impact on the US, so they grasp at straws.

Because people can't understand that some Americans realize that when the Government fails and a hostile force is invading, someone needs to stand up.
People should be glad that the minutemen are as restrained as they are.
If this were being handled properly, people who threaten to destroy our country would be treated as people who are threatening our country should be...full warfare.

They keep saying those things because they fall into one of these five different groups..

1. They just aren't informed and want to create chaos.

2. They have never had to see what illegal aliens actually do to the USA. They have never had to deal with ID theft and forged documents.

3. They are involved in some way with an illegal alien who is in their family or a father or mother to their kids.

4. They don't care about the USA laws and actually hire illegal aliens and pay them under the table. They don't want to have to be forced to pay taxes for the work which the illegals do.

5. They support the North American Union and want to see it become a reality.

The Minutemen are heroes, a multi racial group of men and women that have made it their business to keep our country safe from invasion. Anything bad that has been said must have been from those who support illegal aliens or are illegal aliens as they have no bad news to report about. They don't even carry weapons, they risk their lives free of charge to help us to be safe! People that think them nutcases just can't imagine a human being so willing to give voluntarily. First of all, the Minutemen are a vigilante group (which is illegal in this country). They have no officially granted authority. There are federal organizations (U.S. Border Patrol) who are responsible for the task that the Minutemen are claiming to be accomplishing. With their limited resources (i.e. finances) what makes you think they can do a better job than the federally funded Border Patrol? Quite frankly, they cannot. They are ineffective and are just a media ploy.

In actuallity, immigrants are NOT destroying this country. If it wasn't for immigrants, you'd be paying $4 per tomato and the cost of ALL of your produce would skyrocket. The average person born here will not pick fruit or do the menial tasks that immigrants do. Americans (and I'm one of them) do not like to look at the big picture. Immigrants can come through the Canadian border, they can come from Europe and no one complains. But when the skin tone of the immigrant is darker than pink, then there's an immigration problem.

What most Americans have is Xenophobia. They fear people who are different from them. Your tax dollars fund the schools. While the gov. tells you that immigrants are ruining the school system, they are allocating public funds for private use-and immigrants, who have no real voice, are used as a scapegoat. You are being fooled by your government. They spend more money on prisons and prisoners than they do schools. That's isn't the fault of immigration. And most people are in jail because of ridiculous and archaic victimless crimes. Drug addiction is an illness-as is drug use. There should be a medical approach to the issue, not a law enforcement approach. But with the privatization of prisons, the $35,000 a year PER PRISONER is going into the pockets of private industry. Furthermore, public funds have been used to build these prisons, and the Staple Center, and all sorts of other privately owned ventures.

Basically, your government (and mine) is involved in a reverse-Robin Hood. They are taking from the poor and the masses and giving to the rich. I know that there will be a huge backlash from readers, but all one has to do is read and research and you'll find out that, athough this news isn't easy to swallow, it's fact and can be proven if you do the research.

We've lost our resposibility as citizens of this nation. Most of us have absolutely no idea what local government is up to, much less what the feds are doing. Most of us don't even understand how goevernment works, but we have an opinion regarding immigration. Your government is allowing these immigrants in. If they wanted to stop immigration, they could. With all of the technology we have available, you don't think it could be done? If Communist Russia, China, North Korea, and Cuba can keep people in an 'oppressed' state from leaving in large numbers, why can't this country with all of its vast resources keep people out? Simple-we need immigrants just as much as they need us.

Because look at what they do and how they do it. Why don't citizens enforce laws like they would decades ago? Because of laws and civil liability. Just because these people are illegals don't mean they don't have rights and due process doesn't exist. Citizens are not trained to enforce laws and handle every situation like cops are, same thing with minutemen. If they really want to prevent imigrants from crossing illegally, theres something called border patrol, they hire all the time. Go ask border patrol why they don't like minutemen, cause I know many border patrol agents who can not stand them.
