Because, there is a legal process you have to go through to earn the right to be called an American. People are not going over seas fighting to the death for illigal immigrants!
Illegal means exactly illegal, no matter how you look at it. There has to be accountability for the public's personal safety. I hate when illegals come over just to steal cars and drive them back over to have them stripped.

I'm sorry for those who disagree, i have no problem with you if you pay taxes for me to fight overseas. If not, go home. I plan on being border patrol when i retire out of the airforce.

Illegal immigrants take from us ( Our Taxes we pay ). They use the parks which are hard to go to now because they are crowded with immigrants and people that are residents can't uses them. They use the hospitals and they do not pay which in turn hospitals close down due to lack of funds. They drive on the highways and city streets we paid for through taxes. They cause accidents and have no insurance. They cause grid lock on the freeways. They use welfare from the many children they have and benefit from it. The jails are now over 50% immigrants. They stand at the corners looking for work. They pay NO TAXES... They send most of their money to Mexico and do not put back into our economy. They are a drain on our country

Illegal immigrants are criminals because they (like you said) broke the law. That in itself is a CRIME. Secondly, people are not only pissed at the fact that they barged over here illegally, but the fact that they are benefiting from our federal money and taxes when they don't even pay them themselves. Also, they are taking up some jobs that even Americans are wanting. And another thing, many of the illegal immigrants ARE criminals from their own country..meaning, many were criminals before coming to the US. Recently someone in my city got hit and killed in a car accident by an illegal immigrant and you know what he did? He fled the scene. So think about the other reasons people are against illegals before stating all that nonsense...

Traffic infractions are NOT normally crimes. Stealing someone's identity is. Sneaking across the border is a crime.

Yes, but most do not stop with just being here illegally, most go on to break other laws ( they use fake or stolen IDs and SS cards ). Then if we do catch and deport them, most just come right back. So yes it does seem to us that the law breaking never stops.

You cannot compare running a red light to crossing a nations border illegaly. That is completely ridiculous! I don't think illegals are horrible, but they are criminals and that is a serious crime. Not to mention the fact that alot of them are felons, they do rob, steal. and kill also, and this could not happen if they were not here. Also consider the strain they put on our economy--
1. don't pay taxes
2. drive without insurance
3. drain our healthcare system
4. get welfare and various benefits
5. adding to the jail and prison population which also costs us
6. expecting our education system to teach their children, and for our people to accomodate them using their language instead of learning english.
There are so many things and they are all good reasons why they should not be here!

Forgetting for the moment that a disproportionate percentage of the people who come illegally are also otherwise criminal, even for those who aren't the damage is not a one time thing when they cross the border. Schools are drained $10,000 per child per year, and 'free' food stamps for children are not 'free', we pay for them.

On top of that, if I went over the speed limit and an officer stopped me, it would not occur to me that he shouldn't give me the ticket. I expect to pay the price on the books for any law I break. Illegals knew what the penalty was for coming illegally, when they came. They are not victims, we are.

However since they have to show some form of ID to get most jobs many illegal immigrants also have to engage in document fraud by using someone elses identity to obtain a social security number,credit card etc. Thousands of people each year find their credit record wrecked for years while it's straightened out,or find themselves in battles with the IRS over unpayed taxes for jobs held by illegal aliens using their name. ( And I thought they payed their taxes according to the rhetoric) In fact part of the recent big bust against Swift meats was started due to the illegal use of a US Border Patrol agents identity by an illegal alien,he found out about it when he was informed by the IRS that he owed around $20,000 in unpaid taxes on his job at Swift,a job he of course didn't have. So much for the supposed law abiding illegal myth.

Coming into a country illegally is a lot more serious than littering or running a stop sign or going five miles an hour over the speed limit. By coming into our country illegally, those people go on to use fake or stolen ID's in the form of someone else's Social Security card or drivers license. They then get welfare they should NOT be getting, free or low cost medical care, subsidized housing and education, on top of taking jobs at lower wages than even our lowest paid American citizens work for. It costs Americans BILLIONS extra ANNUALLY to have illegal immigrants in our country. They are a huge cost to Americans and they are an UNNECESSARY cost to us. I would have to say that is CRIMINAL.

MYTHS ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

1. It is NOT racist to call these people "illegal aliens" In fact, "illegal aliens" is the only term used in federal laws and regulations to describe criminals (and they ARE criminals) who come into our country illegally. They are not illegal immigrants, not undocumented immigrants, not migrant workers, and not day laborers - they're ILLEGAL ALIENS.

2. Mexico is NOT a poor country. By sending its teeming masses to our country, that status keeps on rising. Mexico has more resources per square mile than the U.S. and plenty of money to take care of its own people. Why should the taxpayers of this country subsidize Mexico's corruption?

3. Illegal aliens are NOT necessarily coming here to work. Lou Dobbs recently reported that 33 percent of our prison population is now comprised of non-citizens. Plus, 36 to 42 percent of illegal aliens are on welfare. So, for a good proportion of these people, the American dream is crime and welfare, not coming here to work.

4. Illegal aliens are NOT doing work Americans won't do. What jobs won't Americans do? In most states, Americans still clean their own houses, do their own landscaping, clean hotel rooms, work in restaurants and fast food places, paint houses, DO CONSTRUCTION WORK, work in airports, etc. - just like we have the past 200 years before "our" government allowed these people to invade our country. There are 18 million Americans who cannot find a job, so illegal aliens who are coming here to work do so at peril to American workers.

5. Illegal aliens absolutely do not contribute more than they cost. Certainly the millions in prison and on welfare aren't contributing a dime to our economy, and the ones who are working often are paid in cash with no deductions for taxes at all. The ones who use fraudulent social security numbers and qualify to pay taxes and social security have so many deductions for dependents that they pay little if any taxes. We have seen them pay less than $100 in taxes and get back $4,000 refunds (thanks to earned income tax credits and multiple dependents).Some bargain, eh?

6. The economy does NOT depend on illegal aliens. Sure, greedy CEOs (making $50 to $150 MILLION a year) and business owners depend on illegal aliens, but due to #3, #4 and #5 above, the only thing illegal aliens are contributing to is the collapse of our economy and making the rich richer.

7. Without illegal aliens, the price of agricultural products and other goods and services will NOT soar. The definitive study on this subject is the University of Iowa's "How Much Is That Tomato?" The study concludes that 'since labor is such a small component of the end-price of agricultural products (which includes price to the growers, transportation costs, processing /storage costs, grocers' profit, etc.), using minimum wage workers instead of illegal aliens would increase prices of agricultural products by approximately 3 percent in the summer and 4 percent in the winter ... hardly the making of $10 heads of lettuce, $25 hamburgers, $1,000 per night Days Inn hotel rooms like the pro-illegal alien lobby claims.

8. Consumers are NOT benefiting from lower labor costs. Again, it's CEOs and business owners who benefit from taxpayer subsidies for their illegal alien workers. The Big Three automakers say they moved so many jobs to Mexico because their labor costs are 80 percent less than in America. Anybody notice the price of new cars spiraling downward under NAFTA?

Their most intelligent, the ones who could help the people they left behind, have left them to come to the USA. Their homeland needs them THERE. â€œBrain drainâ€ is the flow of skilled professionalsâ€”physicians, engineers, scientists, educatorsâ€”from less developed countries to the more developed countries. In many cases, large-scale immigration to the United States does serious damage to the communities left behind.

Developing countries are losing the people they can least afford to: those who are skilled and educated, who perform crucial services contributing to the health and economy of the country, and who create new jobs for others.

First off your examples of traffic infractions is lame because if we do get caught we get a fine and if we don't pay it we either go to jail or lose our license or both. there are no groups having parades to try and force the authorities to make it okay for use to not pay those tickets. Actually they all steal from us everyday you see as illegals they take jobs for less than the prevailing wage causing locals to lose or not get jobs to feed their families so they stole there, they send kids to schools which are funded by property taxes even though these kids are really not eligible could be a legal kid don't get to go there and has to go to a school way out of his/her area so they stole the kids spot in school and the extra $$ to take the kid to another school, As illegals most can't and don't get health insurance so they go to the emergency room which drives the cost up for everyone else to pick up the slack. A bit of theft there I'd say. So these people are criminals, they can get in this country legally they just don't want to wait like they are supposed to awwwwww geee that get in line thing is for everyone but them, nice. Here's an idea for you go to the grocery store and find the longest line fill your cart up then go right to front of that line the hell with everyone who is waiting like they are supposed to I mean you're special right? now why would they all be mad???

Everyone is not perfect. I am a legal immigrant, and I personally thought Americans hating illegals are stingy, but I now realize that it is necessary to establish certain degree of law to maintain this country like America. There would be too many problems and instablility if this country is just free for everyone. To protect every legal's freedom some degree of control is needed.

It seems about every decade there is a different scape goat. If in fact people studied in school they would know their claims are false. They claim if you call racist that it is an old card and doesn't fly anymore. If it isn't true then what is their problem with Mexican people? If not the color of their skin then what is it? Getting services that Americans get doesn't ring true but undocumented do put money in taxes and most likely won't see what they put in.

Yes people have gotten traffic violations. We incur fine and insurance increase. That's the price we pay for traffic violations!! The price of being illegal is deportation. If you break a law there is a price to pay.

That's the problem, you can't pick and choose what is right and what is wrong. They broke the law, they pay the price. You don't have to go past a stop sign, you don't have to speed. People do those things because they don't care about the law and the people around them.

Example: Oh, a person just stabbed another person but they didn't kill them. Let's not consider them a murderer or a criminal even though they didn't commit a crime.

You need to read the paper. Check out the top most wanted in your state. There is a huge percentage of hard core criminals in the lot. Child molestation, rape, burglery, drug charges, gang violence, DUI, driving without a license, driving without insurance, spousal abuse, murder, child abuse.....and the list goes on. It's an everyday occurance around here and gets worse as time goes on. They by far have the worst crime rate by percentage than any other group.

the fact of the matter is that IT IS ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO BE HERE. i sympathize with them, because i know they are only trying to provide for their families, and make a better life for themselves, but they are welcome to do it properly and legally.

Okay! I am going to assume that you were not an immigrant! Do you understand the process and the years that you have to wiat in order to become a legal immigrant to come to America? Illegal immigrants just come into this country! They take away jobs from the legal immigrants because they are illegal and they are welling to accept a lower wage causing people who are legal immigrants to be jobless and unable to provide for their family. Don't blame me for feeling so strongly about my opinions, I have formed my opinions because my parents were immigrants and its was extremely hard for them to find a job when they legally came to America because most of the places were hiring the illegals.
