Why do people think of mexicans as the only people who migrate here?

There are plenty of other people from various countries here that are migrating. Alot of mexicans are legal here. The only people that can and do not hate immigrants are the NATIVE AMERICANS. That's right, indians, not you and not me. Just in case, I'm not mexican. I was born in the USA and my parents are from Puerto Rico.

again, you all say that it is not true, that mexicans are not the only group BUT you attack them and only them, about 90% of your answers include some kind of attack towards them. And in reponse to the having the easiest way into the USA, people from south and central america use the same border that mexicans use. you also say the problem is with illegal immigrants but how do you distinguish between my husband who is from honduras and is in the process of becoming a naturalized citizen and his cousin who is here illegally? They both come from the same country, just their legal status is different but they are attacked equally. Nobody goes around asking if they are legal or not, they just attack.

well, since you were born in america, you are an american, just like me, even though i am of american indian descent. mexicans are from mexico, not from texas or cali. they are from MEXICO.

Maybe because they are right on the border and it seems that it would be easiest for them to migrate. Also because of the way that is portrayed in the media, propaganda always helps to shape the way that things are looked at. I do agree that the people who have "right" to this land that we call the U.S. are the Native Americans. For a number of reasons. I do know better than to think that Mexicans are the only people to migrate over here Europeans, Asians, Africans, Brazilians, etc. have migrated here. But I think people think that it is always Mexicans because of the reasons I listed before and because a lot of times they are not here legally. NOT ALL but many of them are not legally here. Or so it seems.

People know that there are other races immigrating to the U.S. but the largest minority group is latino/hispanic not necesarrliy Mexican.

becasue mexicans are all comming here illegally, and they take advantage of the programs here. not all mexicans but from my experence most of them. plus if you look at california, its mostly mexicans now. not cool.

Because they stand out with their dark skin and their outrageous number. Also, they seem to be compacts groups in certain areas, they stick to their own and don't feel the need to speak English.
BTW , I'm illegal, because my visa expired and I'm from Europe. I'm whiter than most legals, so making this a racial issue is utter nonsense.

Yes I am part Cherokee and I feel that these people work harrd for what they have here and should deserve a chance in the US just like anyone else. What about us taking Mexico into the US?

no one hates immigrants and plenty of natives on here (you have to actaully *gasp* read some other questions previous to yours) hates the illegal aliens.

And they are not immmigrants, they are illegal immigrants. The Majority of them are mexican even though some may be brazillian or anything.

Most people don't, but Mexicans are making this about themselves. The overwhelming majority of illegals are in fact Mexicans though, maybe that is why they get the most attention....

You are not very smart are you? When 70% of the illegal immigrants are from Mexico, I think generalization is well deserved. In regards to native americans, maybe you missed your sociology and biology classes, but it is well known that "native americans" came here via the Bering Straits, so NO, they are NOT native either. No charge for the lesson.

.Yes you are right but the focus is on Mexican immigrants because they have the easiest access to cross the border. I don't think anybody hates immigrants but many do not like illegal immigrants. They are a drain on the national economy, health and welfare system. In addition, Mexican immigrants do not try to assimilate into the American culture. They hardly make an effort to speak/learn English
