You know, you're right... Immigrants are those people from other countries who have entered our country legally, with all the correct paperwork and approvals and visas and all that stuff... These are the ones who should be here.
The ones that the newspapers and politicians refer to as "Illegal Immigrants" are actually CRIMINALS who should be rounded up and sent back to where they came from. |

The correct term is "undocumented worker" or "undocumented immigrant" |

You are too stupid to understand a logical answer, but here goes...
Legal immigration is when a person goes through the proper channels in the US government to become a US citizen. This means learning English, being given a SS card, paying taxes, and many other things that your little brain doesn't understand.
ILLEGAL ALIEN is the proper term. Or possibly a guest worker who might contribute to the workforce of America, but doesn't give anything back to the American system. Meanwhile, all of the LEGAL residents have to pay billions of dollars in tax revenue to make up for the losses that ILLEGAL aliens cause. (Crime, welfare, no taxes, send their money back to mexico, and too many other problems to list) |

what do you suggest that we call them? it is not correct to say that they are illegals, since they most likely only commited the one crime. Should they forever be labeled like that? Plus most of you anti's dont like the term undocumented worker. |

No, they are illegal aliens. |

It is an oxymoron. An immigrant, by legal definition, is legally in the country.
"Illegal alien" is the proper descriptive term although "illegal immigrant" has been misused for so long that it is being adopted as correct terminology.
I wouldn't call use of the term a hoax, but they are certainly uninformed. Nothing new about that, eh?? |

They are illegal aliens. They call them immigrants on purpose to further the bush agenda, but he's not fooling anyone.
Impeachment, maybe yes; maybe no -
BUT SPP HAS GOT TO GO!! |

The word immigrant does not imply legality or illegality, just that someone moved from their home land into this one. It literally means "Move in". They can migrate legally, with visas and green cards, or illegally by coming here without visas. Personally, I think politicians are creating a problem where there really isn't one, this situation has not changed in many years, (this is their "rile the voters up" issue this year, I bet they drop it like a hot potato the day after the election, just like the whole 'Gay Marriage' thing), but "illegal immigrant' is not an oxymoron. |

Because politically correct speech, dictated by the left has infiltrated every pore of our nation. They are not illegal immigrants, they are invaders, some of them are hostile invaders. |

It is funny.
They agree these are not 'undocumented workers'.
And the laws they draft call them illegal aliens. This is true whether the laws are pro-illegal alien laws like the Dream Act to give them all in state tuition and qualify them for federal grants (part of the Senate Immigration Bill), or are enforcement bills.
However they are calling them illegal immigrants to the press.
I guess that is the term I usually use too, but the legally correct one is illegal aliens. |

Because it's illegal for someone to immigrate to America without going through the paperwork and what not. |

Some how they think this is politically correct, I personally feel it is politically detrimental to their careers. If they cant see the big picture for Americas future in regard to the quality of its citizens, then I just cant see voting for them anytime in the future! |

Just another word to sugarcoat the criminal activities of the illegal. The correct term should be ILLEGAL CRIMINAL or ILLEGAL ALIEN. No way will I never use the other terms that these criminals and their supporters want us to use. They are criminals. They came here of their own free will and decided to break our laws. They have no right to be here.
DEPORT ILLEGAL ALIENS
ENGLISH ONLY IN AMERICA |

In the United States, as in most civilized countries, immigration is limited and controlled by law. Illegal immigrants are those who enter a country without legal permission.
There is no hoax. If you've ever lived in the southwest, and are surrounded by these illegals you'll know that it is no haox. |

illegal means they didn't go through the proper processes to be in the country. It is not an oxymoron. |

Actually you are a moron. Immigrants are either here legally or illegally. |

There are legal immigrants, that's why it's not an oxymoron.
People come into this country legally, get a job legally but not yet a US citizen. |

"illegal immigrant" is not an oxymoron, because they are, in fact, ILLEGAL.
"undocumented citizen", on the other hand, is an oxymoron, because they are NOT citizens.
any other brilliant questions? |

it's simple..."illegal immigrant" means someone who enters into a country without permission. it's a matter of understanding the terminology and not considered "brainwashing hoax terminology". try to do some more research on the term "illegal immigrant". |

Illegal immigrants are people who don't come here through the legal channels. They just sneak over the border and get on welfare and live 500 to a trailer and don't know how to read road signs, yet they drive a car.
Legal immigrants are those who applied for visas, got jobs, lived like Americans and possibly are taking steps to become citizens, like learning the language and not living off social services. |
