Outsourcing:
I have no problem with outsourcing, it is a logical reaction to overpriced labor here. Labor unions and the like have driven wages for even the most basic jobs far to high. Raise the minimum wage and more of these positions will ship overseas.

Everyone buys cheap stuff, everyone wants to go into Target and Walmart and get the best price, well the companies are only giving you want you asked for.

If everyone refused to buy anything they was made out of the country, and was willing to pay more for it. Jobs would not outsource. Its simply a supply and demand issue.

Illegal Immigration:
This is a legimate attack on our country, we are being invaded they also for the most part fill a need, cheap labor to supply you with cheap goods. But they also sap off the system, refuse to adopt of culture and demand we change our ways to suit them.

How is it hard to see why one is worse than the other?

The biggest majority of Americans want better border control. Our country is vulnerable because of our weak borders.

For your information most of the guys do have jobs and they also take the time to help with the borders when they get off work and on week-ends. I don't call that lazy.. Some are military retired after spending 20 to 30 years in service.. A lot of them have military back grounds and they are very devoted to this country and want to do what they can in keeping it safe. The minutemen are of all different races. These men don't get paid to spend many hours of time helping with the border. I believe the government should pay them. I am glad they are there and I appreciate everything they are doing!! Our government won't get off their as* and do anything so they took it on their own to help.

The border patrol has nothing to do with American businesses outsourcing to cheap firms in various third world countries (plus, Mexico is not one of those countries anyway). And what do rednecks have to do with this? Are you high?

First of all it is not only "rednecks" who want to close off our borders, and secondly we said we were only to close off the border along Mexico, so only Mexico and some of the South American countries would not get techolgy, and do not get racist with rednecks because usually we associate Blacks with being lazy and not keeping there jobs, we need your people to do border patrol because all know you guys love shooting people. Besides we do trades on boats Asia, Europe, and India are not along the protected borders. Excuse me *****, the white people are often more educated and have brains, we need the illegals to do the dirty word, those other ******* countries do not need to steal our wonderful technology so America can stop on top with being technology advanced. Before you post such a devisive question, you need to do more research. Your question implies that anyone living in a border state is 1) a redneck 2) incapable of using technology 3) to dumb to perform any intellectual work. On what do you base this assumption?

California, which is a border state, is the birthplace of silicon valley. I have never heard of Californians referred to as rednecks, and I am certain that any of the tech firms in any industry (computer chips, biotechnology, medical research, to name a few) would take exception to your claims. As for technological capability, several "redneck" universities have nationally accredited programs in a variety of technological fields. A few examples are Texas A&M, the University of Texas at Austin, Arizona State University, the University of Arizona, UCLA, Cal-Tech, Stanford, the University of Oklahoma.

Most of the rednecks who complain about the borders being closed also complain when their jobs are outsourced. The people on the picket line are the same people manning the assembly line, which means they are at the mercy of the board of directors who decide whether or not to outsource their jobs.

Not all jobs are outsourced to India, Mexico or China. I work for a consulting company in one of the redneck states, and my job is to help companies operating in the US to outsource operations that are not their core competencies, so that they can concentrate on what they do best. The jobs they outsource are filled by educated "rednecks" such as myself. I have an MBA and speak 3 languages. My coworkers all have similar backgrounds.

If you don't like minutemen, ask a question pertaining to them. Do not, however, insult my intelligence or the intelligence of my fellow citizens by confusing the target of your misguided rant.

What does closing the borders have to do with outsourcing?

One topic of discussion has to do with ILLEGAL aliens flooding into our country without proper ID, documentation, etc.

Next, on the topic of discussion would be the outsourcing which is a NON SEQUITOR.

Indians -- from India -- don't come into the US through Mexico in the numbers that Mexicans do, or at least the latest statistics that I've checked don't confirm this.

Europeans are certainly not flooding the borders, which would evoke them to be "closed off".

Asians, nope, not them either.

Mexicans . . . ummmm, yup. And they DO NOT possess high-tech skills either.

So you want to argue about "types" of work needing brains -- certainly you're not including the MEXICANS in your very weak argument. You mention Asians, Europeans, Indonesians -- but no MEXICANS!
