Why do right-wing polititians and the media blow the illegal immigration "problem" out of proportion continued

What blowiing out of proportion???? Did you know that illegal immigrants kill twice as many people in One Year than all the military personnel that we have lost in Iraq since the beginning? Illegal immirgration is running rampant and needs to be stopped at ALL costs!

Now this is one issue that I am not going to let you define as a right wing issue. I am a moderate liberal American. And I do not think that the seriousness of the illegal immigration threat can be overstated. A working persons commodity in our capitalist system is his/her labor and an endless supply of cheap labor is a definite threat to the working class. And why try to belittle the effect of illegal immigrants by saying that they only fill $3/hr jobs.
I work in housing construction and I can tell you that those boys, that you see at Home Depot and Lowes are taking good paying craftsmanly jobs that should be reserved for legal American citizens.

Because they send Pedro Jr. to the same schools as my kid and the teacher only makes it half way through the lesson because she has to stop and translate to Pedro Jr. while my kid sits there bored out of his mind.

Free Medical care? Claiming social benefits? I wish I could get free medical care. That way when I get shot by the gangstas I can go to the hospital and have yankees pay for it.

That makes sense to me. My great grandparents had to come through Ellis, and learn English, and contribute to society, not take from it.

Just my little opinion on the "problem" of illegals.

its the truth. like it was said this morning, there are illegal Irish, Italians and what ever else. BUT, there are more illegal Mexicans in this country. all illegals must go if they can't come in here legally. i don't care what Pablo is doing to Pedro. i don't care what color one is, if they are not legal then they should either be deported or do something about being legal. i don't think amnesty is the right way for our govt to go.

Out of proportion?

Lets see . . . millions of illegals taking up millions of jobs (and depressing the wages by millions), getting millions in government handouts, flocking to emergency rooms and getting millions in free medical care (that the LEGAL citizens pay for so it is NOT free after all), committing millions of crimes and costing millions to arrest, try, convict and imprison, and making millions of complaints that they are being treated unfairly.

Yup, I can see where this "problem" is being blown way out of proportion . . . . by the illegal immigrants. Go home, make your own governments take care of you.

It wasn't me out there claiming illegals were doing jobs LAZY Americans WOULDN'T do. It wasn't me out there claiming the entire US economic structure would fall if it wasn't for ILLEGALS. It wasn't me out there saying our children wouldn't survive, my lawn wouldn't be mowed, I'd never get to eat in a restaurant again if weren't for ILLEGALS! Don't even go there. They aren't "blowing things out of proportion". All they do is point out the facts and that's extreem? There ARE terriorists crossing our borders. There are illegals taking our jobs. They are NOT ALL good hard working people just looking for a better life. Just called your bluff and proved it and now you have nothing left to fight with. The story doesn't fit. Proved it over and over and over.
There are no 3 dollar an hour jobs unless Pablo volunteers to do it. Neither one could fly a plane but I do worry about them drunk behind the wheel of a car.

Maybe you should be more afraid of the 13 American kids molested daily, or the 12 killed by drunk drivers and other violent crimes committed by people not only, illegally here, but unwelcomed as well.

Or maybe you should check out what's happening in LA, where the illegal gangs are trying "ethnically cleanse" the city of African Americans......

People are tired of all the baggage that comes with having so many illegals within this country and having to pick up the tab that their country clearly doesn't care about when it comes to them.

People are tired of seeing their tax dollars being used for known criminals.

Even fruit picking pays more than $3 an hour.

The thousands of dollars that it is costing taxpayers every year to support known law breakers, the non-enforcement of the laws are what people are upset about.

I live in Arizona and we know that illegal aliens are a huge problem in our city's ,our state and our nation. No one is telling us that the illegal is a problem,we see it every day. You really need to get educated on the real issues and learn the TRUTH.
The number of illegal aliens is under estimated not over estimated. They are a drain on our economy not an asset.
Americans should demand that Congress and the administration work together to establish control over our borders and the interior of the country so that we have the assurance that aliens, whether immigrants or visitors, are legally present in the country. That objective is of vital importance for the sake of national security as well as for the impact on our tax bills

it definitely hasn't been blown out of proportion, it's people like you who don't realize what a major problem it is. i believe that media and the politicians need to do and tell the American public more about it than what they do. as long as people like you keep sticking their heads in the sand and not admitting it is a humongous problem, it's just going to get worse!!!

i grew up and went to school in So. Cal. in elementary school i had class that was taught in half english, half spanish.

Why do some people try to ignore the ruined schools, closing hospitals and wage reduction as well as doubling of our number of people in 'extreme' poverty and the fact that our wages are currently the smallest part of gross domestic product than at any time since WWII due to mass immigration undercutting wages at home and outsourcing undercutting wages that can be outsourced?

And how can you say that putting more than a million children who can't speak English and whose parents wouldn't be here had they not come illegally into a single school district like the LA USD wouldn't have major impacts on education for the other children?

OK, for the record, I have never and do not now Deny it IS a problem.

You said "blowing out of proportion" and I completely agree with that assessment.

We've got some really tough things to deal with in this Country. Kids are not getting the education they should be, the deficit is at a record high, wages are not enough for a lot of people to live on, taxes are ridiculous, the crime rate is bad.

Yes, we've got some real WORK to do.

Hard: Do the Work to fix things

Easy: Blame the problem on somebody else
