Why do so many cities and states do nothing about illegal aliens?

In Colorado, you can't get a job without a green card, you can't stand at the Home Depot harassing people for work (they enforce no loitering/tresspassing laws), you can't start a business without being a legal resident/immigrant.
Whereas, in cities like Phoenix (which is a "sanctuary city")
you get away with no insurance on your vehicle, no registration, no license ect..., shooting police officers with reckless abondon, burdening their health care system, overrunning their schools with gangs, and the list goes on and on. Ain't illegal immigration a great thing?
No wonder I left.
So, if you're >illegal<, don't come to Colorado as we could really care about your sob story, besides, winters tend to get cold unlike mehico.
Yeah, until we ALL pull together and elect someone that's willing to address the issue, each state will have to step up and legislate it's own laws and ENFORCE them.

The truth is some cities have tried. In Valley Park, MO it has been attempted more than once to crack down on the illegal immigrants and their employers/landlords but the federal courts have thrown out their right to do so and called it unconstitutional. These are liberal judges that don't understand that the constitution is in place to protect the CITIZENS of THIS nation, not some other nation.

Mainly due to fear of all the lawsuits that the ACLU, La Raza, etc would file if they lifted a finger against the illegals.

In Texas we are looking like a third world country already and Bush is partly responsible. I voted for Reagan and both Bushes and am very sorry for it at this point. Bush has abandoned his conservative base and I am not sure now if he was ever a true conservative.

There are sections of the US government who cater to illegals because they believe they should have the same rights as AMERICAN CITIZENS.

Arizona has gone as far as to use satellites to track down and locate numbers of people within the sonora desert. They also have sectors that are patrolled by the Army reserve units. They have tampering devices that are ultra sensative and can measure a foot step from ten miles away. They have heat seeking elements and sanctuaries for those that will not make the long journey. Most states and cities don't see it as their "job" to worry about illegal aliens, and by and large they're right...the federal government has decided to be "big daddy" on this and needs to do a better job.

I think its for the same reason we had slavery in the South before the Civil War, its necessary for the economy. If you send them all home, who will wash all the dishes, clean all the motel rooms, pick all the produce?

In every country there are laws.... If someone is doing something illegal or is in your country illegally they will be arrested if / when they get caught... you should worry more about yousef and your own life and let the law enforcement authorities do their job... if what you are talking about is legal but you consider it wrong you should try taking political action instead of asking dumb questions
