Why do so many immigrants feel.......?

My question would be, why do so many illegals feel they can trample on our immigration laws and see nothing wrong with that, demand free health care, demand food stamps, and demand education for their multiple children? My guess is that they have NO sense of what law is or where it comes from. They just want to turn this country into a North Mexico. They don't want to blend in, they just want us legals to leave our country so the illegals can have it.

most of the immigrants I have met think like that, in fact, many don't give a darn about their host country, it's language or customs. They stick to what's good for themselves, not their host country or it's people. People from south of the American border are by far the worst when it comes to this. They think being able to say "no speakee englishh" is them being bilingual.

Also, same reasons yanks ask wherever they go: "somebody speaks english here ?" instead of trying to learn the language of the country

I speak Spanish fluently and I once told an illegal alien co-worker about free English classes. His reply was "I don't have to learn English because this is my country, Mexico, land of my Raza!"

On the Spanish language radio broadcasts that the invaders blare out all the time, they constantly make the same reconquista claims. For example, my workday usually begins with them blasting out the Mexican National Anthem with the announcer shouting in Spanish, "If you can hear this, you are standing on Mexican land!" And on their Spanish language talk shows, they'll discuss topics like "Once we take over, should we kill the whites or deport them 'back to Europe'?"

In short, the invaders have no interest in learning English because they have no desire or intention to assimilate into American society, their openly stated plan is to either kill us or send us into exile.

Remember that an immigrant (legal) has money to pay for the residency procedures (even has to prove that has money to come here) and therefore can pay for good classes, computer softwares etc. Also, an immigrant for X developed country is already bilingual, because is a requirement for their basic education. I'm not saying that illegals want to learn english, because some do not, but others do not simply have the resources to do it, although they want to because most of them want a better job and feel isolated from the comunity because of the language. When I first came to the US (I'm puertorican) I went to one of those crappy classes in NYC...OMG, what a waste of time:

first lesson: Mother, father sister...dog cat
First month: car, house, food, hamburger
2nd month: same crap
I quit. I learned english watching tv for several hours a day and in 3 months i was fluent in english.

Also, about the customs...it is true that some stay with their old customs, and you are absolutely right that if someone immigrate, that person HAS to learn/adapt to the new country. But that means that you have to forget your old ones? I dont think so...a person can live in a country valoring the country's customs without forgetting your culture. Example, it is wrong to have your radio at 3 am at all volume (very likely mexican) because you have to first obey the law and second let your neighbor sleep, but it doesnt mean that you have to quit being a catholic just because the majority of the people in the new country are protestants...or that you have to dress like they do in the new country (of course, with limits).

Unfortunately, in the United States there is no officially recognized national language, although most people assume that English is our "official" language. Because we have never established an official national language, people are legally able to speak in whatever language they want... and we have to offer classes, literature, etc. in a variety of languages.

Why learn a language when the RACIST US government will make all cities, towns, states, etc bow down and kiss the @ss of anyone who speaks Spanish? Go to a hospital and they have to have bilingual people to give free health care to criminals at taxpayer expense! Every piece of paper has to be translated into Spanish! NO other language has to have these translations! Now tell me that isn't racism at its finest! Name one country that does this! That's why the illegal aliens don't learn English! obama and company want to force every American to learn Spanish!
As for people who say the settlers should of learned the language of the native Americans. Which one? Or better yet how many? There were an estimated 1,800 languages (approximately 800 have survived). When you can learn to speak 1,800 languages let me know! Add in the fact that having multiple languages presents a lot of problems. Many countries have made one language the "official language" because of the many problems. Our idiotic politicians are doing the exact opposite!

Because they don't have to. Our country has decided it's up to our government to accommodate all cultures in the name of multicultural diversity. Any less would be inconsiderate of the immigrant's sensitivities.

I agree with you completely. By far the worst offenders for this are the Americans and the British. They make no efforts to integrate or assimilate when living in someone else's culture.

As for learning the language, their usual method is.....to....speak....English...reeeeall... .....slowly. I'm not sure that counts as being truly bilingual.

many are unable to learn because of age and illiteracy and some are care less and some are just like to run after job and money .BUT a language must ,because it is the not only a matter of Communication but also a self adjustment in to the population of the country. please must learn a language. i never been to school and completely uneducated but trying to learn some thing. thanks.
