Why do some Latinos perceive the act of enforcing immigration laws and deporting illegals as racist?

Well, perhaps because people in the USA hate immigrants, legal, illegal , it doesn't matter.

Regarding that, they are a non discrimination people. They hate immigrants in general, but since it is not politically correct to bite the legals, they bite the illegals, but we know very well that they hate all.

So much, that we see on the news that sometimes they deport even American citizens because they "look like" illegals

It is NOT a "race" thing, but groups like la ratza and mecha has TRIED to make it racist.
It IS about enforcing our laws, knowing who is coming into the country (and for what purpose), and controlling exactly how many low skilled, uneducated people are allowed to come here!!

Your believing too much of what the media is telling you. The only Latinos I know that would see enforcing immigration laws as "racist" are typically either illegal immigrants themselves or illegal immigrant sympathizers especially out in California. (Remember there's lots of white people who see enforcing immigration laws as "racist" also) It's more of a liberal thing than a race thing.

I'm a Latino living in Texas and it make me sick seeing all these illegal immigrants here at my school acting immature and obnoxious, not to mention all the other problems they cause by simply being here.

Please don't let the liberal media influence your opinion on Latinos, most of us are ordinary working people just like everyone else.

Because it's the easiest way, attack those people as racists, use guilt by playing the race card. They also don't seem to understand that illegal immigration is well ILLEGAL making them criminals as well. Yes it's a sad state of affairs in their homeland but they let it get that way and aren't trying to do anything about it. Instead they run here to better their live but in essence lowering our standard of living by weakening our bargaining power. They have to get over the fact that what they are doing is ILLEGAL.

The same reason blacks do. It draws attention to them and makes the laws and cops look bad. I think the INS should round up all illegals and drop them off in Iraqi. I have no problem with immigrants, as long as they contribute to the system and not become a burden on it.

The amount of money spent on illegals in this country is outrages. That is part of the reason our economy is going to crap. They come here earn money then send most of home and not spending it here. Then they come here and demand that our schools teach them in Spanish. They want free health care and the rest of the rights we pay for with our taxes.

It is a tactic, mostly run by highly racist Latin groups like Mecha and La Raza, who use it as a tool to disorient those they wish to conquer by blurring the issue. (These folks want to "reconquista" take over the Southern USA for Latins alone.)
In fact people, whomever they may be are breaking the law coming to the US illegally. The fact that roughly 8 of 10 are Mexicanos adjusts nicely into the racist organizations plans (La Raza etc) to dumbfound.

I think enforcing these laws are fine, I mean I've been here for practically all my life. Both my mom and I are citizens, can't complain. The problem is that alot of white Americans do make it a race issue. You make it a criminal status, and I do agree. It's just a shame when it becomes something racist, thats the problem.

If you look through this section, theres a ton of people that have opinions on these issues. These issues are no longer "what do you think about enforcing immigration laws?" It becomes, "How many illegal undocumented criminals should we put on a bus back to their scum country?" Thats very different.

They try to justify being illegal by saying that they cannot find sufficent work in Mexico to feed their families. That might be true, but then they try to say that if we are against illegal immigration, we are also racist against Mexicans. I think that just makes them feel better about the crime they are commiting and they can justify it by claiming poverty in their own country. I have said many times in my answers that it is not the fact that they are Mexican that makes me mad. It's that they are ILLEGAL. If illegals think they are being discriminated against, it might simply be the fact that some people don't like criminals. If you make yourself legal, you can stay in America for the rest of your life as far as I am concerned. But if you are illegal, PLEASE LEAVE NOW. We don't like criminals.

Because they feel entitled to everything the US has to offer- insurance, money, social security, etc. This entitlement is only perpetuated by the lack of laws successfully controlling, or even TRYING to control, illegal immigration. I agree 100%, they are illegal aliens and deserve to be deported. And how come Mexico can deport any undocumented person from their country (people from South and Central America passing through on there way to the US) but the Mexican people are infuriated when the US deports Mexican illegal aliens?

On national news channels when they are doing a story on finding a way to stop immigration what are they showing a clip of? A Mexican family. So it is clear that when American's want to end immigrations they are really directing that towards Mexicans. It's sad that the American's born and living in this country feel they have done something to deserve that right. What makes any other human being born into a country of corruption and poverty deserve that? Is that just what they get? It's heartless people who can watch another person suffer and not care. American's continue to say send them back where they came from. At some point haven't all of our ancestors came from somewhere else?

Actually, you are correct. If you are European and want to come here, you have much less of a chance to do so than if you are latino. 1/2 of ALL LEGAL immigrants that receive visas allowing them to move here to live are from latin countries.
