Because they aren't racists, maybe. It sounds as though the person with the racist problem is you, first in assuming that everyone answering negatively to your questions are white, then saying "the whites are this way".

By the way, nobody has a problem with legal immigration or legal immigrants, it's the illegal ones they have complaints about. All illegal ones.

It has often seemed to be the case, to me, that those who are the first to play the race card are the ones who should have been dealt that card, in the first place.

This forum has answered this race question repeatedly, and repeatedly, it has been asked again. It is a red herring; it is false reasoning. And, no matter how often you try to play that card, you're in the wrong game.

There are more than WHITES who are against ILLEGAL in this country, and we know that all illegals are not MEXICAN. That is the point.
If there are others from other nations here ILLEGALLY, then who knows what they may be up to? Mexicans mostly are here for the work, others MAY be here to bring harm to the Citizens.
This is why the borders need to be secured, borders mean Mexican-Canadian and both coasts. Once the borders are secured, and Congress proves they are secured, then many anti-illegals would probably be amenable to some sort of a worker program, that does not lead to AMNESTY. If they are want to come here to work, thats fine. If they want to become citizens, thats fine also. We already have laws that address both of those situations. What we really want is the borders secured, no amnesty, and for idiots to stop calling us racists!

To get to your actual question, I'm afraid, that you're doing something of the same thing. Rather than grapple with the issues, you throw accusations of racism. If you try to soften it by saying that there are 'racists in your camp,' you really loose a lot of impact, because the racists of La Raza and MECHA are in /your/ camp.

I don't want this bill to pass because it's amnesty and short sighted. I also don't want illegals in MY Country. If that makes me a racist in your small book. So be it. You have no impact on my life nor will you ever.

try asking a question that isn't along the lines of "when did you stop beating your wife?", and perhaps you'll get answers in more depth. You aren't owed any answers, and your views are just that...yours.

Btw, "Illegal" isn't a race. It's a legal definition.

I'm well aware that there are, as I'm sure you are aware you have more than a handfull on your side of the issue. In fact they seem to be the most vocal of the pro-illegal camp.

1) I am aware that there are a whole lot of racists on the "anti" illegal campaign, I also realize that there are a whole lot of racists on the "pro" illegal immagration campaign. No one feels sorry for the "whites" that are constantly and wrongfully dubbed racist for being against ILLEGAL immagration.

2) I am white and I am not afraid to admit that there are racist people on my "side" of the immigration debate, infact I personally know a few racist people, I live in the redneck capital of Kentucky and you can't walk down the road without meeting a few racists.

3) Do I not want to face what, myself and my fears that the economy will probably get a huge disasterous blow pending the amnesty bill? Yes I do want to face that fear and not have it become a reality. And what are you reffering to that we "anti's" are protecting> our rights as natural born citizens or our economical security? Whites? The simple selection of the word whites shows everyone in this forum that you are a racist. Whites are not the only race against illegal immigration. But if there are racists in favor of stopping illegal immigration then I guess they are as welcome to the anti's as you are in the pro's. I face myself everyday and I love what I see. I would find it in my favor to protect any US citizen that obeys our laws and pays their taxes, they are such a minority now! Talk about a childlike mentality, you fool no one.
