You may be confusing illegal immigration with legal immigration. However in this case I believe all of the individuals involved had been born in the UK to parents who had immigrated legally. I would rather not deport all of the children of immigrants because that would include most of us. My family fled England in 1637 because of a religious conflict and they did not have permission from the government in England or the land to which they fled (currently called the USA). Should I be sent back? |

The main reason is cheap labour, e.g. a girl from Thailand was recently found to be working a 48 hour 6 day week for a take home pay of £70.00.
The reason people were give a British passport from the former colonies was to prevent them going to the former Soviet Union or China for economic aid and this country losing a cheap labour market, charity was not on the agenda it was purely market forces.
As for terrorism, well if Bush, Blair and others had not interfered in the middle east terrorism would not exist. |

The US is a melting pot of folks. my family came from the Germany in the 1800's. and unless your Native American - Indian your from immigrant family as well and for that matter we all are from the Garden of Eden...

What about the US citizens who keep the IRA in funds for years, allowing them to murder ordinary men, woman and children. UK has lived with terrorism in one form or another for many decades and if history has not taught these so called martyrs anything its - the more you bomb us, the more resilient we get! |

Its not the immigrants its the hate that there is in this world. there is too much of it we should all stand up and fight up and make peace with one another instead of all of these extreemests trying to take action we the innocent people killed. most of us are immigrants! its just a few bad people who beleive that the answer to evil is violence when it is not is is love, fairness and equality! if we were all the same there would be no reason to hate no reason to kill innocent people! sure some people will still hate but when they see the love in the world they will soon begin to learn to love and not to hate! |
