Why do we hate illegals so much?

I do not hate any immigrants whether legal or illegal. I am an ancestor of Native Americans, and if anyone wants to know how unfairly and unjust the "American" people can be look at what you did to my people. They did not ask for any of your ancestors to come here and steal what was theirs. Payback is a bi otch isn't it. My grandmother sits and laughs at what she sees and hears out of the mouths of all these people that have hatred towards anyone they feel shouldn't be here. She told me her mother didn't not have a choice when the english rounded her and her family up and put them on reservation does anyone find that fair? My grandmother does not harbor any hatred towards those that did her people wrong. I think that says alot about a persons character. As she says, hatred breeds ignorance and I agree with her.

Yes, the US has no official language, but the laws have always been that a citizen must prove their knowledge of the english language.

Your solutions are also stupid. If we sent back all the illegals, it would leave so many spaces open to let in more LEGAL immigrants. These are the people we want here. They are waiting patiently while they watch as others just invade.

We aren't considered anchor babies.. There were no pre-existing laws when our forefathers came here. We run this country, it is rightfully ours - We are a nation of laws - Respect them.

We do not owe them anything. Why can't they stand up in their own country? Why do they rely on someone else to give them a better life?

We respect and honor the hard-working LEGAL immigrant. Those who show no respect to our nation, its laws, and its citizens do not belong here.

Next time, leave "we" out of the equation because you don't speak for all of us.

Hi dimwit, the United States is the only major Country on the Planet that still allows anchor babies to have citizenship. Canada and the countries of the European Union have all made laws against this.

For your information, the United States gives over 2 million legal foreign immigrants citizenship ever year. These people, wait their turn in line and want to assimilate into our society.

Illegal Aliens cost Americans tax payers billions of dollars each year for food stamps, public assistance, medicaid, public schooling, police protection etc., This is money that could be used to help Americans in need who have paid taxes. What gives an illegal boarder jumping person the right to come here at the expense of our Citizens?

My brother sends his daughter to a public high school in Los Angeles.Originally the school's policy was thatt teachers would have 23-28 students in each of their classes. Now with the illegal alien invasion, each class averages 48 students? Is it fair that his daughter should have so much less personal interaction with her teachers at the expense of these illegal foreigners?

Dude, I understand tha we all want to be nice, but the illegal immigration situation is outrageous and a disgrace to our country.

They are illegal and that is one way they are breaking our laws. Paying to have fake documents so that they can work is another way they are breaking the law...it's called Fraud...

We were never anchor babies from our ancenstors. We have been a country for around 214 years... and the immigration laws that existed then, are not the same as those which exist now. Not only that, but we cannot be considered "anchor babies" when our ancestors were the ones who settled this land, and fought for independance from England...

It hasn't always been a hate issue with illegals, but it has been one increasing with the amount of problems that have also increased. No one blames them for wanting a better life, but there is a right way to go about it. Crossing the border illegally, isn't the way to go about it, and still be respected by the citizens of America.

i hate going to work everyday knowing there are illegals and welfare bums who have it alot easier than myself and they get to sit on their butts all day..
Not just illegals...it pisses me off when some skank can pop out 3 or 4 kids and the local county pays for their food, medical care, place to live, etc...

The real issue keeps getting lost here. First, I don't really think people "hate" anyone. The problem is not immigration.....It is ILLEGAL immigration that most people have a problem with. 2nd....True, Most of our ancestors immigrated here....but they did it the legal way . And last I heard English is the official language in the USA. And if people are here illegally then they are not law abiding. It does not matter how hard working you are....If you self supporting or not, How much money you make and so on....Illegal is Illegal and it is breaking the law. It does not matter where people come from....Europe, Asia, Mexico do it the legal way!

because every generation has had immigrants that they despised. ITS THE AMERICAN WAY the Italians hated the Irish the Irish hated the Chinese now the Chinese hate the mexicans because they are gonna take there jobs just like the rest supposably did. But yet there are still jobs to be taken away who would of though . Give us 50 years i bet we hear the Mexicans complaining about some other Nationality moving to the USA is going to take away there jobs !! :)

I dislike all criminals. Coming here illegally makes them criminals regardless or their reasons. Vast majority probably are good hard working people but they are still illegal. They should learn English because that is the language here only respect to try and blend in with the culture of the nation that you immigrate. They are labeled illegal because they violated the sovereign laws of this nation. Personally the ideal of deporting welfare paper is a little much I'd much rather sponsor sterilization of illegals,felons and welfare abusers. By the way Ruby D it is wrong to call anyone here native. Our natives are just the first immigrants. They just beat us here by a few thousand years.

When will this argument die? I'm not an immigrant, and nor were several generations back! Love it or hate it, the 14th amendment states that if you were born in the US, you are a legal citizen!

Our ancestors stole all this land from the native americans. We treated them badly. Everyone ignores that fact. America is not ours, north america is not ours, it rightfully belongs to the natives, but hey, you know we can take their land AND then we can have restrictions for people who just dont feel like living in a third world country anymore. If you come from nothing, its very hard to get legal citizenship into the states, i think that if you generalize the people who come here looking for a better life, why dont you go and say that all black people are gangsters, ITS THE SAME THING.

Sorry Sweetie, but not "ALL" of us. Both my grandfathers were part of an exchange military program and were
"brought" here *legally* from France by the US Defense Department. All my aunts and uncles on both sides of my family were born here "legally", so none of them were
"anchor babies".

They think it's all about them --- they don't want to give anyone a chance.I think it's all a psychological problem though. How many times have you ever seen people saying "invasion of the Mexicans" .... it really makes me laugh that they believe these moronic thoughts. I think they've been watching too much Lou Dobbs (or whatever this guy's name is). He is breeding hatred towards immigrants.
