Once you have lived in a country for quite some time, you feel as if you own that country. It is thus felt by the white people that they own the States and other people of colours do not belong to that country. With this misguided illusion, they think they have the rights to hate new immigrants. I wonder what the American Indian think or the Aboriginal Australian really think when teh first white settlement invaded their land.

Having said that, I have met incredibly welcoming white americans/australians. So, I think it is rather unfair to say that white people hate immigrants. Maybe the Southern Whites and their Belles do?

People foster hate because they are ignorant thats not to say they are stupid i believe they are uneducated or miss educated they dont even think about the fact all American other than native American Indians are immigrants from one place or anther

white people, or any other people in America don't hate immigrants at all, we welcome them, as long as they use the legal process to get here. It is illegal immigrants we have a problem with.

White people don't hate immigrants any more than anyone else. People of all races don't like ILLEGAL immigrants. There are plenty of Latinos out there who don't like the 11 million illegal immigrants who came here from Mexico. And, FYI, most people here today, white/black/latino/asian, whatever, were born here. The majority of them never knew their immigrant ancestors, America is the only home they have ever had.

I have not heard anyone in here or any place else white black or brown people say they hate immigrants,on the other hand there are millions of white black and brown people that do not like persons that came and still are coming into this country illegaly,especially illegals that parade on the streets with the flag of their country and demand their rights,how can any country trust these people,if they already are showing where there loyalties lie

I don't think just white people hate immigrants , but all races, and not necessarly hate, just pissed off. I am an American and I cannot get some of the benefits of my own country like an immigrant or illegal. And know they expect us to be bilingual in our own country. You cannot even get a job. I have a great education but, can't gat a job because I don't speak another lanuage.

Certainly we are descendants of immigrants (as is everyone in the world), but that is not the same thing as being an immigrant.

Anyway, such a statement is no justification for continued mass immigration. The inference that "We are a nation of immigrants and, therefore, we must not limit immigration" is a classic example of circular argument.

What is says is this: Because we are a nation of immigrants, we have to allow for massive immigration which, in turn, makes us a nation of immigrants. Hence its circularity.

I am white and I dont hate Immigrants I serve in the United States Air Force with many immigrants, I think that the illegal immigrants should become nationalized citizens like my fellow troops. Also I think this country should do more to support the North American continent rather than the Middle east so that these immigrants that littetally have to leave their homes or starve could get a decent job and not have to be up-rooted from their families and risk arrest just to have enough money to survive.

Here is the problem:

People who entered the US legally had to go through the proper channels. It was a sacrifice and a gamble to become a US citizen. Respect had to be earned. Most 'white people' like the Italians and Irish were discriminated against when they came to the US. Irish were basically used as slave labor when they came to the US. Italians were not allowed to hold any positions dealing with heath, even if educated (ex: no Italian doctors, dentist etc.) We did not receive free heath care (like all illegals currently do). We certainly did not expect Americans to learn Italian! (yet we now have a Spanish version of our national anthem - what a joke!)

The point is simple: The ends do not justify the means.

I don't believe that all people in America hate immigrants.

I think many people have a problem with people entering the country illegally and get benefits from it. People have every right to come to our country for better opportunities through the proper system.

People are also afraid that we might be leaving the door open for more terrorism to enter the country.

Because they dont follow any of our laws. I am an amputee from ones that disobey our traffic and insurance laws. My girlfriend has brain damage. I wish this would happen to someone in your families so maybe you could get it in your hard head, and understand why.

They rape our legal system.

6 of them fled the scene of the accident they created with us and only the driver was charged (after apprehended) he paid 1500. to bond out (thanks to a public defender) ( paid by my tax dollars) and now lives free here again. Only to give a different name if he gets caught for something again.

Think about it. Maybe you need to be the victim of one to understand. Our taxes pay for their hospitalzation, their schooling, and their housing.

No wonder our taxes keep going up

First, when we "whites" came here we did not take over jobs, tax the welfare and social service programs or expect to have everything handed to us on a platter. Also the US was not overrun with people and those people that came were interested in becoming part of the US. Unlike many immigrants today that refuse to learn ENGLISH, don't want to do any work, frequently commit crimes and are leaving their own places of birth in numbers that the US can not sustain. Also many of our "white" ancestors came because they were forced, threatened and enslaved, yes even many white people were enslaved they were called indentured servants. Its not about hating the immigrants its more about hating the systems that they can so easily abuse. Most of the original Americans came here with a plan to work and make their own way, how many of the immigrants in our country today can say the same?.

first thing the ones that live here arent immigrants. our ancestors were. secondly, people are starting to resent illegal immigrants just because they come here illegally and try and get the same breaks as everyone else. i know, its sad but true.
