We prize our citizenship, but you can prize whatever citizenship you like.

However, we aren't going to give ours away cheaply, so if you don't think it is worth much effort, you probably won't end up with it.

Sir, it is the current super power.. so if you have the citizenship of the super power.. why not be superior? Thant does not mean you are as human any better..
But lets face it.. the American passport for example can open the closed doors .. but anyway think about it. When UK was the super power is was the same.. it is the circle of life..

The United States like most Western Hemisphere nations were founded by those who could not make it in their native countries. Since many came here and were successes they think the United States is the best. They can't understand why everyone does not want to be American and why some want them to be destroyed. For them US citizenship is the best in the world, but for others this may not be true.

Well, let's start with the fact that they use the words America & Americans. These words alone infuse their culture with the idea that they are the whole continent, that they are the best and the rest (Mexico, Canada) don't matter. Moving along....have you ever watched their television? I'm sure you have and have found it riddled with tonnes of patriotic dribble. Have you ever watched a public broadcast of a presidential speech? yikes. It seems that the public must vote according to who has the best speech writers who seem to have a never-ending thesaurus on the words 'America rocks.' 'America' is full of people who believe they are the best. But not to worry....due to issues with the war on Iraq (invisisble weapons of mass destruction) and other military efforts 'America' has lost most of the faith other countries had in it.

that is the good question. I am glad that I became a citizen of AMerica because if I didn't I would have to serve in KOrean military for 26 months. I think its because americans think they are the superior country in the world.

Enlightened Americans don't think that way. However, if we can believe what we see on tv, then from what I've seen there doesn't seem to be too many enlightened Americans. Mind you, with the way things are glamourized on tv, I don't think we get to see the real America. All we see is what we are allowed to see. And most of that is Hollywood and politicians. To find out how truly wonderful a country is... ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!

America is blinded by their power, they cannot see whats going on in the rest of the world. Yes, America does have all the latest electronics and housing and a very powerful army. But all of these things make America loose its righteousness. Because America has so much power it is afraid of loosing it and will do anyyyything to keep its power! America and its people will never be like the righteous people of other countries (besides Israel)!

GREAT QUESTION! It is important to realize that we do not ALL think this way, but lately I have run accross alot of people that live in the Amer-o-centric bubble. They blame it on pride and patriticism, but alot of times it is racism in disguise. It is ok to be patriotic or proud, but just remember we are all the same. Human beings.
