I am not sure every person "wants" to come to the US, but surely "wants" to leave where they have been.
The states have marketed the Melting Pot, Baseball and Apple Pie, "true" freedom and the "land of opportunity" how could a person living in another country know what the states are really like until they move here? |

i don't know about the rest of the country but in new york state there is a wonderful welfare system........you can have a car, a house, land, food stamps to fill your fridge and beer cooler.........and never be made to get a job......oh ya.....add a computer to play all day on....... |

Think about it America is the only country where you can come and stay for and few days (don't) have to be legal then whine about your rights and get welfare, food stamps, and all other government help. |

Compared to alot of countries... they have the opprotunity to have more freedom... their kids to have a better education.. in general a better life compared to what they would have if they stayed in their country... cant blame them... if i lived in a 3rd world country i would be packing my bags too! |

We subsidize poor people's education and health care and other services which makes it a good deal for poor people but expensive for us. That is the reason for the flood of poorer immigrants, legal and illegal. All western countries that subsidize benefits have this problem.
As to the rest, I presume it is for specific opportunities. |

this is the only country where a person can sit on his butt all day and have all of his needs met by the welfare system, in most third world countries, a person cannot meet his needs by slaving all day. |

Because, a hardworking person can make a good/better life for themselves and their family.
At the same time, a lazy person who doesn't want to work at all, may collect from a number of government programs, can also make a better life for themselves and their family, than the life they left behind.
If you discover the USA isn't what you expected, blaming your problems on white Americans is now the most popular course of action to solve your problems. Change will be slow, but hey, that's not your fault either. Returning to your original country is an option in most cases, yet rarely chosen... Why?
Love it (support it) or Leave it (you're free to go whenever you want). That applies to everyone(citizens, immigrants, illegals etc). |

the usa has a lot more opportunity than places like Nicaragua, Mexico, Sudan, Ukraine. Even in France it's much harder to get a job or start a business because of their employment regulations. Of course once you are here be sure to stay healthy, because the medical system is crazy, and there are many other problems... |
