Why does people say, that immigrants are taking their jobs??

We Complain About The High Prices(Gas For Instance)
But If Our LIVING WAGE Was What It SHOULD Be,
We Would Be OK With It

Several people told me they used to do
the "jobs Americans won't do"
until local employers figured out
they could get ILLEGAL Aliens to work
for less than half the same amount.

As an example,
a young landscaper
who used to make $15 an hour 10 YEARS AGO,
can't get a similar job now for more than $8 an hour.
Same heat.
Same difficult working conditions.
Same Necessity For Landscapers
But with the Depressed Wage,
AMERICAN CITIZENS who live in a country
where the cost of living is miles above that of Mexico's â€“
can't afford to take such jobs.
It's not that he and other Americans
don't want to do landscaping anymore;
(Or Construction, Or Restaurant Work Etc.)
It's just that in heavily trafficked ILLEGAL Alien environments,
IT DOESNT PAY WELL ENOUGH ANYMORE.

Our Cost Of Living Has TRIPLED In The Past Ten Years

Thanks To Cheap ILLEGAL ALIEN Labor
Our Living Wages Have Been Cut In Half

If this is what the open borders crowd means by
ILLEGAL ALIENS doing jobs Americans don't want,
they're right.
American workers want jobs
that can Earn them a DECENT LIVING in this country.

Minimum wage is a fortune south of the border,
but it doesn't go far here

There was a time when citzens picked fruit. Look at lanscaping the industry. Illegals work for so much lower wages that citzens are forced out of the jobs unless they start their own business and hire illegals to work for them.

No really though, think about it. Look at your average neighborhood chinese restaraunt, then look in their kitchens at who is cooking their food! Mexicans, or spanish speakers are in there cooking chinese food! What is the logic behind that? Some of these restaraunts customers are under the assumption of "authentic" chinese food, but how authentic is it when your cooks are from Mexico and other spanish speaking countries?

Look at the landscaping industry, think back about 10 years ago when the only people you saw landscaping were white and black guys, now fast forward 10 years later and who do you see doing those type jobs!? I'm pretty sure that there are black and white guys out there that are willing and able to do landscaping, but aren't able to find these type jobs because a lot of the bigwigs in the industry are cutting the pay to keep their businesses afloat in the competetive U.S. market, allwoing mexicans and other spanish people to come and get those jobs, because they are willing and able to work for a lot less.

It is not that the Americans are lazy, fact is that most of us simply cannot settle for and live off the wages most spanish speakers work under. It is easy for a spanish speaker to work at a warehouse for $6.50 an hour and live comfortably off it, there is usually more than 1 family per household, and everyone gets a bill and the bill stays paid. You have as many as 4 families contributing to the bills, in the average american household, you have 2 people, usually a husband and a wife with 2 small kids to pay the same bills. If either the husband or wife come up short, there is no one left to foot the bill as it is in a mexican household, therefore, most Americans simply can't live off what the immigrants will work for.

Same rules goes for the construction jobs, warehouse jobs and housekeeping jobs. There are plenty of Americans out here who would settle for these types of jobs, but with these greedy corporations out to get the labor done for cheap, they are the real enemies in this! If they would stop providing ways for these illegals to stop being able to work without proper documentation, there would not be such a widespread problem amongst a lot of businesses.

Its wrong, but the illegals look at it this way, why make the effort to come over here legally if the American government welcomes them with open arms and makes it as appealing and easy for them to reap the same benefits that most cicizens can't even get. I mean come on, if you could rob a bank and knew that you could get away with it, and with a large loot, wouldn't you rob the bank? It's wrong, but a lot of people would rob the bank., even if it's just for a one time deal. Same equation for the illegals wanting to take come over and reap benefits and take american jobs!

have you ever seen a immigrant working fast food..I haven't..but I see plently of them working construction and jobs like that. Jobs in which Americans were trained to do which pay very good and offer Americans benefits that will help their family stay above water..People spend years learning a trade and then immigrants take it from them. Pretty soon there's not going to be a need to go to college and learn a trade because you won't be able to get a job..sure, there are plenty of part time minimum wage no benefit jobs..but I would like to C an immigrant work at those and pay daycare for their kids and try to live...

the reason they are taking people job is like this,see i have a friend who worked for a drywalling company,then,suddenly this immigrant came with all his friend and said hed take 5 dollars an hour for the same ammount of work he did for 12 an hour,so his boss fired him and all the citizins(coworkers) for the less exspensive illegals

They are, in my opinion. They come over to America, most of the time they don't even bother to learn a word of English, and then they get hired because they'll work for $1 an hour.

They end up taking up work for American-born children like myself who want to make some money, buy a car and start a life. I don't want to live at home when I'm 18, but with all the illegal aliens, it's going to be almost impossible.

In a few rare cases this may be a fact , but overwhelmingly the vast majority of Americans are enjoying a booming economy fueled in part by everybody in our society including the undocumented workers.

It's a shame many of these people are suppose to be Americans claim illegal are the only ones working certain jobs. Illegals are just only doing jobs Americans want do if that is the true 75% would not have newer cars and trucks. Just being illegal does not automatically mean you'll be working at the lowest paying jobs for life. Illegals after a certain amount of time tend to be drawn to jobs that offer more money for that is why any of us work with hopes we obtain a better living wage and word spreads to who pay's what. But our high school people also work these jobs. So yes illegals do take America jobs. If Americans do not wish to do these jobs that is no excuse to justify that sneaking across the border. There are jobs all over the world most people wish not to do but do like them like the illegal aliens they need money coming into and want a better life. This is not limited to only workers of Mexico

look at those "Americans " that are on welfare, and each child goes into the system, because its the "family" business.

This is a major part of our illegal immigration problems...

If the immigrants stayed out, and we forced our own to work, then, we would have "horrible jobs" that pay better, and less people on welfare.

Put simply most people are lazy in spirit so they could spend ages doing nothing but when they feel the need to get a job they find someone who is better qualified and better at the job then them and in some cases that person turns out to be someone from another country who has put alot of effort into it so they can have a decent life for their family and thereself, and so they tend to say an immigrant took my job but if theyd really wanted the job then they would of put more effort into it. Basically its our own laziness and fears that cause racism and degredation.

Maybe because they see that immigrants are more clever than them and manage to have a job. And immigrants often have a bigger envy to work as they have to prove that they are worth being employed. So they try harder, work harder in everything

Actually I'm fine with immigrats. They take all the jobs noone else wants and will take minnium wage which makes them good for the economy.

'Cause people are plain stupid. If we had to wait until Americans agreed to work those jobs, we'd have no produce industry at all and go hungry. 99% of them DO work. That's more than I can say for our very own spoiled little rich kids BORN in the USA.
