Why dont we spend one day to get rid of all the illegals?

This is not the way to handle the problem.
I read someplace that there may be as many as 10.5 million illegals in this country.
We need to secure the borders and put a moritorium on all immigration for three years. No immigrants will be allowed to come to the US for 3 years and anyone who is caught is deported immediately.
What do we do with those who are here?
Same thing. Give them an opportunity to earn guest worker status by coming forward. Then those who do not come forward and we find, they are deported. End of story.
It's time for the US Government to get its balls out of its back pocket.

You may not be able to get rid of all of them but you sure would make a dent in them. I am a Canadian and could you explain to me what is wrong with this picture in America. I think I know the meaning of "ILLEGAL" so really what is the problem there, get them the heck out of your country. They are eating up your taxes that you pay for the free ride which they sure would not get in their country. Welfare, schooling, medical and it goes on and on. If someone wants to live in the US let them come in the right way the LEGAL WAY!!!!!!!!!!!

WELL STUPID FOR ONE they don't dedicate just one day to take them out cause YOU WOULD NEED MORE PEOPLE TO DO THE WORK THEY DO! WHICH MOST OF IT IS OUTSIDE IN THE HOT SUN..... and most people are not up for that .... who would harvest your veggies who would build your roads, mow your lawns, if it wasn't for these people most of this would not get done...... I have a better idea why don't we dedicate this day to taking you out of yahoo!!!!!

I don't live in the US but don't you people thrive on immigration? Isn't your system based on immigrants and what they did for the country when they moved? Why would you want people to leave the country, isn't it a free world (and country?). It's not like you created the land so let other people live in the same country. It's not like you own the whole country and it's not "your" country, it's just one part of a continent.
What happened to the land of oppurtunity and didn't it occur to you that immigrants are only moving to america where they get harsh treatment and low pay and may even have to live on the streets because their country is even worse and oppresses them. Think about other people before you think about not letting one tiny ant live in a field.
