Hi, immigration conduct these tests for many reasons, some because some people migrate to countries to get help with their health, where they couldn't be treated in their own countries, also they conduct these tests to make sure the applicant/s isn't a carrier or carrying any contagious or contaminating illness that can pose a threat on the new destination. (a chest xray for TB, blood tests, eye tests and urine tests are the typical tests, if anything is wrong, they can conduct more tests or just refuse entry). Allowing people in who are ill, puts a great strain on the health system, which at the moment worldwide isn't too good. |

That's why, in the US, *legal* immigrants are the healthiest major grouping in the country. |

i would say the bottom line is because the system is the one who will be paying for it at the end of the day. and the system is draining the tax money. and if you get the whole pics, couple thousands of the epidemic carriers will be enough to sink the whole continent. |
