The Bible has the Ten Commandments, we have the Constitution and all of the laws of our land. Jesus would expect people to obey God's law and the laws of our land. |

Your question shows your ignorance.
Legal immigration is for those people who want to move from one country to another. They DO NOT have to already be a citizen of the country they want to move into. They DO need to obey the laws and regulations that country puts forth for a legal path into that country.
Illegal immigration shows a blatant disregard for the laws of the nation they want to move to. People who have such a disregard for our laws are not people we want to allow in!
Those who immigrate in a LEGAL manner, I embrace and will help if I can. Those who don't? They can simply swim back across the river. |

Are you going to pay for them. That's the biggest problem for me. My child's education is going to crap because the elementary school had create a class to teach illegal's children enough english to learn. My health insurance has gone through the roof, as has my car insurance. Not to mention I was hit by an illegal with no insurance, and had to pay for it. I'm sorry, but I have MY family to take care of before I take care of 12 million others.
Also, I believe that Jesus also preached following the law. |

Because, it's the law. The law's the law. Sorry if it hurts, but it's true. And stop using Jesus as a tool in this stupid game. |

Part of Jesus's teachings was also based on Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself. However, would you consider moving into your neighbors house, not paying rent, not taking care of their home, not helping with their children, taking their job, and the ultimately when the house came under attack claim you cannot fight to help them defend it because you don't live there?
There is a turn the other cheek mentallity, but remember the old monicre God helps those who help themselves? yeah think that applies here. |

Ummmmm, It's illegal in every country in the world, not just here. Jesus would never be president, but if he was, would he want all laws to be followed? Didn't he give man dominion over himself to make and enforce those laws? |

Historically speaking, if a nation cannot control its borders it's finished. The Romans, Byzantines, Greeks, Macedonians, Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Aztecs, Mayans, Phoenicians, Hittites, Carthaginians, Incas, Chinese, Persians, Sumerians, Celts, etc etc etc all understood this very well.
Although the USA is multi-cultural there ***MUST*** be an American identity maintained if the nation is to go on existing. |

How many people would want to move to Mexico VS. How many people would want to move to the U.S.?
Why is the U.S. obligated, in your eyes, to take-in anybody who wants to move here and offer them free health-care, free education, and accomodate their "inability" or "unwillingness" to learn our language?
Especially, after the people who paid into the system and develop those resources, said they are no longer willing to offer that-Enough is Enough!!
If you people are so wonderful and have so much to offer - why don't you stay at home and reap the fruits of what your own wonderful people can accumulate? |

It is NOT illegal for people to come to the US without citizenship. It is illegal to come to live in the US without the proper residency documentation. (You are confusing residency and citizenship.)
The residency paperwork is to ensure that the individual who wants to live in the US is not a wanted criminal trying to hide from authorities in their own country. It also ensures that the individual doesn't want to come here to get on welfare. Individuals wanting to come to the US must be honest, hard-working, and capable of self-sufficiency. If an individual meets these criteria, why do they feel the need to sneak in?
People who sneak in illegally are dishonest by the very fact that they are ignoring the law to do what they want to do. Then there's also the possibility of terrorists entering the country illegally to avoid detection. As more scrutiny is placed on legal immigrants from certain countries, illegally sneaking in looks more and more attractive. |

Nice theory but you over simplify the situation. Imagine if everyone decided to move to the same area. All resources would be in short supply and prices would climb exponentially. There wouldn't be enough jobs to support everyone so unemployment and poverty would be rampant. The economy in that area would soon collapse. Expand that and it could happen to the entire US if immigration isn't held in check. |

There is a difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration- legal is good.. illegal is bad.. and as far as why we should care.. because it's the security of our country.. we should know everyone that comes into this country- for our own safety and security
edit: oh come on... Mexico has one of the largest economies in the world.. Mexicans are poor because of their corrupt Government- so yes it is Mexico's fault that their people are poor |

Because it is against the law.If every poor person came here with nothing, worked for cash, had babies they couldn't pay for,the tax paying law abiding citizens would have no reason to work.We pay high taxes already to fund these people who have children they can not support,¬ interested in education.Let them stay in their own countries. |

The 1st world became the 1st world by installing infrastructure. Both the rich & poor can use it to create more wealth. The 3rd world countries have chosen not to use what ever wealth they have to install infrastructure.
Their poor citizens of 3rd world countries are invading the 1st world to use the installed infrastructure paid for by the citizentry of the 1st world. These immigrants are implying that the 1st world owes them the use of the installed infrastructure. If the 1st world citizentry begrug them the free use we are now racist.
When the 1st world attempted to install infrastructure in the 3rd world, the infrastructure would be nationalized. Yes for a short time the local citizentry were inriched. Long term it left them with less - no jobs. |

i think because they don't pay taxes and they're basically living here for free while citizens are paying off bills, taxes and everything else while illegal people are just living here for free... all i could think of right now |

Legal immigrants(workers) and US citizen paying taxes and The Goverment using this money from tax payers to build roads, Schools etc.. Hello, illegal immigrants aren't driving in your backyard they use roads too. Do you understand now. Why |

Every country has immigration laws to control their borders. For some obscure reason, many people and nations think the USA should have no laws to control its borders. Mexico has VERY strict immigration laws, and nobody questions that. Its neither racist nor out of the ordinary to have secure borders and immigration laws. |

It could be a threat to national security, what if that person driving from one part to the other, decides he wants to blow up the other part of the world. not to mention, and this might sound bad but its true, it overcrowds places. The jobs illegals take are low end, and they often live in poor places aka ghettos, and it lowers the standard. Also these poorer areas are growing becuase of the influx of illegals. American citizens often dont want to live near this and are in a way being forced out of their homes to live in better neighborhoods. |

Fist off entering a country illegitimately is ILLEGAL! If they want to live in a country they should obey the law.. "Think about how stupid that sounds." Why should a criminal be allowed to go unpunished and live in this land? They should not.
Edit: ""Ouch. I didn't know people were so racist."" My grandmother (Fathers side) is from Mexico and I was born in the Philippines, I think you will find that most of us that entered the US legally will be your strongest adversaries not allys. |

Because we built and pay for the schools, health care and social programs and they are oversubscribed with massive numbers of illegal immigrants so that they are failing our own people.
They have no right to come take what we built from our children. |

It is not illegal for people to come to the US without citizenship.
Without visas?? - well ---that's another story.
So what you may be asking is why is it illegal for people to come to the US without SCREENING for:
Infectious diseases, criminal background, advocating the overthrow of the US, AND if they are staying for more than 60 days:
The education, skills (including English speaking skills), experience, and/or finances to survive in this country without becoming a burden on the citizenry..
So--- I don't know --- maybe YOU can tell ME why it is illegal.
to come to the US or to almost any other country without a visa.
BTW, Jesus wouldn't care and apparently neither does the Catholic church. You can conclude if you wish that the church is essentially part of the problem vs. the solution. The church used to have the funds to support their illegal minions but they are currently paying for sticking it to the little guy. |
