The ideology of the Minutemen is to maintain the sovereignty of our nation by combating illegal, keyword: ILLEGAL, immigration - from both the south (Mexico) and north (Canada). Each time an illegal immigrant slips through, it strains our system a bit more - be it health care, welfare (yes, illegals can apply for and get awarded welfare), and their refusal to learn English (which further stresses local governments who are pressured by pro-illegal immigration groups to provide documentation, ranging from government information to school things, in both English and Spanish).
And the Minutemen are volunteers. No one pays them. Each and every Minuteman gives up their time, without complaints, to preserve this nation. |

What makes assisting border enforcement cowardly? How does being a staunch patriot make you not love democracy? Why should we in America learn a second language?
The way I see it, an immigration reform bill came up and the people defeated it. That, my amigo, is democracy in action. By what right do you ask Americans to learn another language when Mexico requires all immigrants to speak their language?
I think it is time for a new bill in Congress. It should simply state that we treat Mexican illegal aliens the way Mexico treats illegal aliens.
Isn't that fair?

Minutemen aren't cowards, they are protecting our borders. They love democracy, that's why they're at the border fighting for it. Do you know how easy it would be for terrorists to get through that border? A democracy is a government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system. Did you not hear democracy speak LOUD AND CLEAR when the immigration reform was stopped? Minutemen don't have to be paid. They love their country so much that they do their service for free. |

I have heard that there are those who want the USA to give back certain states because of some bad idea that we got those lands unfairly. First off, parts of Arizona and New Mexico were bought for 10 million in gold in the Gadsden purchase. Mexico sold us the land. Want it back, then get the American government to sell it, at a fair market value to include the value of all improvements. That should put the price in the billions, in gold, of course. Other land was obtained as the spoils of war. Mexico made war with America and America beat the livid h*** out of them. Want that land back, then take us on again. Once we get done beating Mexico to a bloody pulp again, perhaps we should extend our borders even further south, or just let your weak government recover on it's own.
America is America, I am against any plan for the illegals, other than maybe shoot on sight. If there are Mexicans that want to come here, then they need to learn English, and assimilate into the country. So far as any attempt to take over in any form, remember this Pedro, there is not 1 country of Spanish origin that has a representative government like that of America. You and your people can not, and thus far have not, been able to self govern like America. Your kind will always need our kind to keep freedoms in place unless your kind prefers the dictatorship ways of government that is present in ALL countries of Spanish descent.
