It shows they have no class or etiquette, especially to turn a PAGEANT into a political issue! Maybe somebody should let Mexico and the Hispanics know that Miss USA isn't in control of the US immigration policies because obviously, they can't even figure that one out.

According to Yahoo it was because of the anti illegal immigrant sentiment spreading through the US. I personally think it was in bad taste (to say the least) to take it out on her, she is not a political figure.

What is MEXICO'S stance on illegals??? A hel* of a lot stricter than the U.S. Mexico does not TOLERATE an illegal alien's presence in Mexico.
And the U.S. is trying to work out some sort of immigration bill that would eventually lead to millions of people from Mexico possibly gaining citizenship.
It would take an "act of God" for Mexico to even propose this for their own country.
What do those of you defending Mexico on this issue have to say about that????????

It is due to the fact that Mexico is a corrupt country that fails to provide a decent standard of living to its people. So mexico expects that the US should open up its borders and allow any mexican that desires to become a US citizen. Since the people of the US don't want amnesty for people who came in illegally the mexican people resent it and boo Miss USA. If Mexican people took their pride and tried to make their culture less corrupt and improve the economic institutions then maybe they wouldn't have to boo Miss USA.

1. The world hates the USA
2. The poor girl fell and still made it to the top 5 (which by the way, she handled very well, I think I would have cried had it been me)
3. She was pretty, but not pretty enough to be in the top 5. There were better looking girls with better bodies that deserved that place.

I still felt terrible for her though. She didn't create any of the USA policies, she didn't mean to fall, and she did not vote herself into the top 5. I wouldn't have booed her, she was a trooper through it all.

She was booed in Mexico but probably would have been treated the same in much of Europe, the Middle East, and pretty much the rest of the world. Yes, we are the most hated nation on the planet! The United States is a nation of ignorance, arrogance and increasing isolationsim. I myself have become ashamed to be an american citizen, and truly feel for our troops abroad. The United States is truly undeserving of their sacrifice! How could anyone get behind a country such as this? Boo away Mexico!
