First of all, let us call a horse a horse, they are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. They entered the country illegally, they take employment illegally, they set up house illegally, they use our services illegally. One or two illegal infractions committed once in awhile, doesn't make a person a criminal. But living, working, and collecting benefits in a country you didn't have official permission to enter does constitute criminal activity. |

entering the US without proper papers is a misdemeanor
aiding and abetting an illegal is a felony
driving without a license is also a misdemeanor
driving without insurance is also a misdemeanor
using a stolen social security Number or ID is a felony
applying for gov benefits when not entitled is fraud.
All these things illegals do, so they are criminals. |

Hmm, let's see now. Because:
-They are more than NOT likely to be paying taxes and contributing to the country
-Some of them probably ARE criminals
-There are legal immigrants who pay their way, yet still arent entitled to benefits. So why should "undocumented immigrants" as you put it, get things which they arent entitled to?

If you criminalise it then you will have to be pay for them because you will have to put them in jail. There should be an amnesty this would allow all illegal immigrants to register and start paying taxes. And for anyone who doesn't want an amnesty should look at it's success in countries such as Spain. They should also look at them self's after all if their not an a native american then you yourself were a immigrant once and probably came in during a time when there weren't such a thing as immigrant documents. Therefore how would they feel if they were the poor, the hungry, or the huddled masses yearning to breath free but told to go home because the USA doesn't want people like you anymore. |
