Will Britain have to pay a terrible price for allowing immigration to get out of control?

As a Brit, living in Britain I can tell you that we are already paying a heavy price.
examples are:
We are now so over-populated that the average house here is now over Â£200,000 (approx $425,000.
We have lost count of the number of terrorist cells operating/planning further attacks.
Gun crime is increasing day on day, as is knife crime.
Quality of life is dropping, as we incur the burden of some of the highest taxation in the world, to pay for all the immigrants, etc.
I, among thousands of others am concidering emmigration as the only way of preserving our national identity, HOW MAD IS THAT?

we are now . higher taxes,,, no homes for locals,, outpriced for provate rent//they will live with up to 20 in a house/// 20 poles just been evicted by local council .living in a two bedroom house.you couldnt make that up.. if we have a slump god help us

No, I don't think so. I don't even think immigration is out of control. I say, ship as many hard-working immigrants in as they want...provided we can send some of the benefit-claiming, chav layabouts back where the immigrants came from. Then see if they act as if world owes them a living when they are somewhere where they will be persecuted and treated like scum.

Yes, and it's happening now. I read some where that if you want to visit Europe as it now, you need to do it within the next 10 years because of the large influx of immigrates, it will changed in ways that do not reflex the travel books

We will not pay a price we are now paying it. We have no control of who is coming in. We have no control of getting out illegals. We have a government that is unable or unwilling to comprehend the damage to our culture and racial mix their policy has allowed. We have gun crime gone berserk, with Eastern European gangsters wholesale crime businesses flourishing. Guns , drugs people trafficking. Yes we need some immigration. Yes we need control. Yes we need a government with balls to sort out the mess Blair has created. We do not want the EU pushing their stupid laws on us when they do not abide with them themselves. Yes, and so will we. All countries are now looking hard at their immigration policies.
Britain is different then the USA because of the British colonies.
Mass immigration to any countries is not good. It would be better for all if the sending countries would get things under control.
Problems should never be accommodated they should be dealt with. That is the only way to solve it.

It take a country to take care of its own people not another country to do it.

I just can't remember the exact figures, but a couple of weeks ago it was announced that about 380,00 brits left this country to try and find a better life for themselves and their families. On the other side of the coin some 550,00 people came to the U.K. a slight imbalance wouldn't you say. We are losing good fine upstanding people, people who have made a very valuable contribution to this country, people who have high standards and morals. Yes we are paying a terrible price, and we will go on paying it until our Government developes some backbone and acknowledges that their is a grave problem.

I think immigration is a good thing if it is controlled. We are a small country with limited housing and public services, which are already at full stretch.

I know a number of immigrants from various countries, all of whom are honest and hard-working. Immigrants like this are an asset to our country.

But there are so many immigrants wanting to come to Britain that if we let them all in, we're going to be in big trouble before long.

I'm a morroccan immigrant in UK and I want to stay here one year again and go back to my country.
I'm here since one year and I pay tax revenue: 5000 Â£ /year.
The immgration gives a lot of money for the government and for the UK population.

Well, I think there will be a price to pay. We're already seeing the results of a 2nd and 3rd generation of immigrants who are "lost". They don't know where they fit in. Their own culture (parents and granparents) is so different to the one they know. Their parents want the offspring to be proud of their own culture yet they barely relate to it and at the same time...they feel their not truly British.

Australia and Canada got it right...for everybody.

I can only speak for the NHS as I have worked in A&E for many years. It is sinking under the burden of people using it as a doctors surgery, coming to have their babys and knowing they have a health problem that will be treated free. I am fed up with it as we have had to make staff and equipment cuts. We are all stressed and constantly ill because of this.The pay is poor as well. I am getting out. The NHS is loosing a damb good nurse, and I am not the only one.

Possibly. But we need skilled immigrants, because there is some apathy from the underclass i.e. the chavs.

There should be controls, yes, but I'd take a hard working, law abiding immigrant anyday than someone who has lived in this country all their life yet haven't bothered to work their socks off. I personally think it's an utter disgrace.

Er, what price would that be, then ? Most successful economy in Europe ? The London Stock Exchange gradually putting the NYSE out of business ? If it's so bad here, how come everyone wants to live here ?

And if there is a "price" - all the other popular countries in the world will be paying it too: USA, Canada, Ireland, Thailand, India, Spain, France, Australia, NZ and so on - all popular destinations for immigrants from the UK and the rest of the world.

No. Look at the USA. We were founded on the idea of out of control immigration and we are now the most powerful country in the world. Its sad people are so anti-immigration. They forget their roots too easily
