If you need government assistance (food stamps) then how do you propose to financially support your husband and his daughter? Number one IF you qualify for food stamps, you WON'T qualify to sponsor them. You have to earn enough money to be at least 112% ABOVE the poverty level, including them in household. |

yes it will lessen the chances of you sponsoring 2 other people if you are receiving food stamps. you will not qualify to sponsor them financially. |

You have to file an affidavit of support with USCIS to bring them over. This shows that you are making enough income to support them both and that they won't be a burden on taxpayers. If you qualify of food stamps, then I highly doubt you make enough money for their affidavits of support. |

If both of you are not US citizens then the answer is probably. This is due to the fact a condition of entry is not to rely on the government for assistance. Should you need to rely on food stamps to bring your husband and child into the US then it is possible that you may run into some issues in regard to support. |

Tremendously in negative way. You need to file I-864 to prove to US government that you are responsible for your husband and his daughter financially. So that they will never become a public charge. |

You cannot Sponsor anyone if you are on Welfare/Food Stamps/SSI/ or any other Government support program... |

Recieving foodstamps is also proof of a hardship showing that you have to recieve governement aid because your husband is not here to support you, however when your husband and his daighter do come to the US if they have a sponser you will only be able to recive foodstamps for the US citizens residing in the home. |
