My country was taken away by my govt and by the large number of US citizens who seem to think they have the right to enforce their personal and religious beliefs on everyone else.

I fail to see how that's an issue for the immigration forum.

And if you're talking about the 1~2% of the country that are illegal aliens -- compared to the 1~2% of the country that are felons, or the 5% that are drug users, or the 10% who are fundamentalist fanatics -- sorry, but someone failing to fill out paperwork is the least of my worries.

No..Not with the current communist government in charge.

I went there for vacation after leaving for nearly 16 years. Its so crouded, the sanitation was terrible, everybody had very limited employment oppertunity, goverment officials are corrupted. I was in Vietnam.

As hypocritical U.S policies are, I still ike it here alot better. Atleast I've grown accustomed to the life style here.

I feel the USA is my country, why do I need to "take it back"? I regularly correspond with my reps to let them know my stand, including city, county, state, and the Pres (no matter what party they are). I voice my concerns about ballot measures to friends and family. I have started a political discussion group (where the rules include no name calling) locally that includes people of 5 different parties so that we can discuss local and national issues and how we feel.

I do my best to stay on top of the events and to make a difference. I do not agree with everything going on, but I fight for my constitution, my rights and my daughters future.

This is my country. She may not always make the right decisions but that does not mean I love her any less. I am sorry that you feel as if you have lost her, but trust me, she is right there waiting for you, no matter your political, religious or any other affiliation.

The U.S. is a great place to live in, but it's not perfect. There's lots of corruption, and racism. What people can't except is that this country will not remain under the white majority, soon other minorities will become the majority. I think soon enough Hispanics and African Americans will join the white majority. Only then, we'll be able to accept the differences every culture has to offer.
