Does anyone had experince travelling with their old surname with passport instead at the moment to have new surname??

Just got married with my beloved husband, my surname had change, so if I want to travel and use my old passport to another country where I was born then came back.

of course my marriage certifation and green card to shown!

Will there be any problem enter usa??

Proper answer will get a lot of points!!!!!!

I have traveled with a passport in my maiden name and green card with my married name and I didn't experience any problem with it.Just make sure that your airline ticket is in the same name as your passport.In coming back to the US, have your marriage certificate on hand in case the Immigration Officer ask for it though in my case he didn't look for it.All he asked was how long was my trip outside the US.

What is the name on your green card? If it doesn't match the name on your passport, you will have problems, so change both at the same time

There may be issues since the name is different and be prepared that you may be stopped at the POE for a thorough check because of it. If all checks out then you'll be fine but it would save time in the future to get a correct passport
