I certainly hope no candidate will "back off" illegal immigration. I believe that illegal immigration will be the single most important voter concern in the upcoming elections. If it isn't, it should be. |

Nope. It shows that a candidate should be well versed in more than one issue. The ONLY thing Tancredo had going for him was his stance on immigration. He had zero when it came to the economy, national security, international diplomacy, etc. He was bound to fail. |

Tancredo was the best candidate in the race as far as I was concerned. He almost single handed brought the immigration issue and border security to the fore. I wish he was still in. |

Tancredo was not mainstream enough to win the nomination. Immigration will continue to be a key issue. The candidates must have more to their credit than just one issue to win. |

I wasn't aware that he dropped out? He was the only candidate that stood for what America means and probably big business and other special interest groups just couldn't take the heat. He stood for a lot more that Illegal aliens though, it's a real shame if this is true. And NO, it means whoever wants the nod better get cracking, America has had it! |

No , Americans, will scream this one out. If they don't we are in a world of trouble..That hurt McCain bad in the first debates. He is just now starting to pick up in the polls. The answer to your question is NO. Have you EVER paid attention to an election before? More candidates will drop out at an increasing rate until just 2-3 at the end. |

No, he just happened to be a minor candidate with no real financial support, and thus, no real chance of winning. I think that he would have been the best Pres on that one issue, but where he stands on anything else is anyone's guess. He needed to start out with the same name recognition and high profile of the others, but he didn't.
