I wish there was a test to administer to find out if they are racists against Mexicans. If they are, then they should not be allowed to come into Mexico!

Another thing, when some of you say that "Americans" support Mexico's economy, that also includes MEXICAN-AMERICANS like myself, that go there at least once a year.

Why does everyone always assume Americans are all white? We are comprised of EVERY RACE.

We let Mexicans in - the ones who have gone through the legal channels. We like ALL legal immigrants.

Mexico has the strictest immigration policy in North America. They already throw immigrants from central and south america into jail so what would be the difference if they threw white folks from the US in there as well? As for giving them a hard time I believe that the cops shake them down for whatever cash they have on them.

First off, America or white people or whoever this is at don't mind if Mexicans come here to live legally. Its when they break into our country illegaly that we have problems.

Mexico is a beautiful country, that is why Americans like to go on vacation there. The difference is we get a tourist Visa, spend a few weeks there and leave. It is all a legal process.

As long as its legal, there is no problem, unless you run into a racist.

The immigration policy in Mexico is 10 times tougher than you will find in the United States. I live in Cancun and work here too. This was not an easy feat! It took me 9 months, with a lawyer, to obtain working status - AND I am only authorized to work for the company I currently work for. If I quit, I must completely reapply with immigration to work for another company! I had to prove that my job could not easily be performed by a Mexican. They will NOT allow a foreigner to work in Mexico if a Mexican could fill the position!

I'll tell you...I am on both sides of the fence with this one...On one hand, I see the hard-working, poverty-stricken people with children to feed, and I can understand wanting to cross the border to the US to find a decent wage to feed their family. BUT...at the same time, I have experienced the strict immigration process that Mexico ENFORCES...and I am tempted to call them a bunch of effin hypocrites! Mexico is sooooo upset about the deportation and treatment of illegals in the US, but look at how their OWN immigration laws are!!!

I travel to Mexico....a lot. For one reason only...too have fun. I can buy ANYTHING in Mexico, so long as I have the money.

BUT I always come home when I am done...I do not try to get a job, I do not go around waving an American flag screaming about the racist treatment I receive while there....I do not want to live there (right now). I do not smuggle drugs into Mexico, Although I have been tempted to smuggle a couple of the ladies out ;)

It would be fair to subject Mexicans to the same rules that the Mexican government uses in regards to immigrants coming in to their country. and for the record the US does not ban Meicans from coming into the country, al we ask is that you do it LEGALLY!!!

While I don't think it was fair that you used "white" people, I do believe that any Mexican coming from Mexico into the U.S. is regarded as something not even human by a lot of the customs agents. We go there legally, but we aren't all white any more than you are all non-white. In fact until I started going on this board I thought Mexicans generally WERE white. YOU say you aren't.

We let in a million people legally every year on immigrant visas, and more come legally from Mexico than from every other country. If you break our law, THEN we will give you a hard time, regardless of your color.

Whether Mexicans or Americans come and go isn't the question. Also color is irrelevant. Both the US and Mexico have their own immigration or VISA laws and regulations that needs to be followed. If either country judged entry due to color, they would have to rid themselves of a lot white people themselves. I've seen blonde haired, white Mexicans, too.

Mexico needs the US for its tourist. People spend thousands when they go to party and have a good time.

US needs Mexicans for cheap labor. They are almost always underpaid with no health benefits and so forth.

So the two go hand in hand weather they like it or not.
