Working for 2 months in China, do I need a visa?
Find answers to your legal question.

Working for 2 months in China, do I need a visa?

I was offered a job at a school by a friend to teach part time in China for about 2 months in the summer. I dont actually want to go through all the paper work for a Z visa, but I dont know if I should risk it. What should I do?

Hi, you're not that bright are you? You are working illegally, and like any country in the world, your ignorance is not an excuse to break the law. Too lazy to do your taxes? Go to Jail, too lazy to do the paperwork for a Z visa? Get deported and go back to living at moms house.

Winner.

If the idea of teaching inside a Chinese prison for a year or two sounds good then go for it, work without a visa.

anytime you are going to perform work in another country? you must ask for a work visa. it is against the law to do so without a visa.you could be fined and banned for doing so without it.
China has the Z visa which is only good for 30 days, please refer to page below:

Get a visa, the Chinese do think foreigners are idiots who are incapable of fending for themselves but bearing in mind you can't even enter China as a tourist without a visa, I don't think ignorance will work as an excuse if you get caught. Work out a deal with your friend regarding the cost of the visa.

after the olympics, you WILL need a visa. there is no way around it. i was thinking of teaching english in china as well and you need sponsors and all kinds of stuff. i would just get a tourist visa 90 days since you are only staying for 90 days

The best option for you is to apply for a F (business) visa, which allows you work short-term in China and the procedure is simple.
