Working in UK with Polish passport - spouse question?

I am a Canadian citizen with a Polish passport. I understand that I can work in the UK. My question is about my spouse - he is a Canadian citizen with a Canadian passport. Is he also eligible to work in the UK? Any advice, links, etc. is appreciated.

Being a citizen of a new European Union country which joined the Union in 2004 or later you may only work in the United Kingdom for longer than a month if you register under the Worker Registration Scheme and meet certain requirements as outlined in the attached first source.
Your spouse must apply for a UK residence permit of an EEA Family Member which must be accomplished prior to travel at the British High Commission in Ottawa. The residence permit would also grant the authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
