Would our economy CRASH if we deported them all?

NO. We would gain some $480 billion in welfare.. gain more when the illegal aliens were out of our schools, and out of our hospitals. We would live in a much more peaceful society with the crime rate going down, and all the savinging that means. On and on.. it would be like having a bump in our wages in fact.
Yes we have the people to do it too. But we also have the Real I.D. coming online, and illegal aliens without stolen I.D.s are going to be unable to get drivers licenses. They say they will drive anyway, but they will do that driving inside a prison before they go home, and if they are supporting their families.. they will simply go home.
Going home? Yep.. there is a labor shortage back there and the jobs are nearly so 'bad' as the boo hoos would have us believe. Lots of good jobs, and when you caculate the cost of living.. pay about the same as they do here.
Pelosi wants to keep them here. Currently the Immigration round ups are going after illegal aliens who have felony warrents out on them for crimes such as robbery, gun possession.. and Pelosi wants all of that stopped. She LIKES criminals in our communities and the the O'Reilly idea that we should ship them all to San Franciso is sounding like a very, very good idea.

I wouldn't think the economy would crash. In fact, all those US CITIZENS that are currently out of work would get the jobs they need.
BTW, you know what is REALLY funny? They're finding that illegals are currently self-deporting because of the economy and the fact that THEY CAN'T FIND WORK |

Well, let's try it and see. My guess is no, it won't crash.
You don't need any agents to round them up. All you have to do is continue the current "honor system" policy, ask them to deport themselves and they will do it. Apparently all you have to do is ask (yeah, right!). |

We wouldn't need to deport them if we cut off ALL the reasons they are here.
Employment
Healthcare
Education
Government stipends
Housing
Welfare
Anchor Baby claus
Remove these items and we could sit back with a drink in the hand as they all walk themselves back across the border. It would cost a dime. |

American Man
 |
No! It might take a little bit to readjust, but it would be a task well worth the trouble! We should also secure the borders so they are not able to sneak back in! |

No it wouldn't. As far agents go, let's bring our military home from Iraq & Afghanistan and let them do it. |

There would be a time for adjustment, Some business' would more than likely fold because they would have to re-gear their finances to meet the minimum wage that is required by law. It would take time to get the word out that the jobs are available, and time to train the new citizen employees. We may have a tough time of it for a while but I believe we can do it. Besides, this is the U.S.A., we've been known to pull a few rabbits out of our hats when the situation called for it. In order to make it work we would have to get rid of the liberals also, so that the real Americans can do their thing without a bunch namby pamby whiners complaining about what's fair. Long live John Wayne!!!
Edit: As it stands right now we need to tax the hell out of the corporations that out-source, and in-source. That would pay down the national debt some. We also need to revamp the entire system because the way we have things set up right now, ain't working. |

No, they would die.
Many of them, anyway.
Did you know that mexico is the ONLY large economy whose wages have remained almost absolutely flat in 30 years. All others have risen at about the same rate of increase. Mexicans real earnings have declined monstrously and there have been more multi-millionare and a quite a few billionaires created since NAFTA in Mexico...The # 2 richest person in the world after BUFFET is a Mexican crook that only attained that rank after NAFTA...He has like all fascists refused to pay a living wage to his workers and so they starve and he is a billionaire.
It is your fault the Mexicans risk their lives to come here. Vote smart! |

I say send them all back, and lets see what happens. Then allow them to come back the right way, the legal way with all the right paperwork, so that we know where they are. Right now you say 12 million it's more than that I'm sure. But for the sake of our own health care system, and our welfare system, SEND THEM ALL BACK! |

no it will not crash as it seems our economy is already doing that because they are here. It would help the economy plus hire more ICE agents would improve unemployment, and allow police to do their job and detain these people, also allow American citizens to be bounty hunters when it comes to illegals. |

I'm gonna start another riot

If more is better and if the illegal are paying so much in taxes where are the results at, since a large population of illegals reside in La Calif -note here No, really, how bad could it be? How seriously should we take the state's latest budget crisis if a clutch of lawmakers, including the chairwoman of the Senate Budget Committee, is spending the emergency session in India? What kind of buy-in from Californians should be expected when several others are in Hawaii and China, and even Assembly Speaker Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles) just phoned in to one of the "big five" leadership negotiations because she found something more pressing to attend to in Atlanta?
California lurches from budget catastrophe to fiscal disaster so regularly that a kind of crisis fatigue has set in, in which talk of collapse and insolvency are taken in stride. Numbed to repeated warnings that the state cannot carry on this way, residents can hardly be expected to grasp that there is anything new or different about the situation now, especially when political leaders show little willingness to move from the same ideological corners they've been stuck in since the last deadlock. But far from India, Georgia and wherever else elected officials are spending the waning days of the special session, back in Sacramento, in the governor's Department of Finance, at the Legislative Analyst's Office, among those who watch unemployment figures and cash flow, there is a palpable anxiety. In some offices, it borders on panic. Past meltdowns have been disguised by a healthy economy. This time it is different.
The Legislature adopted a budget for the current fiscal year in September, nearly three months late. The spending plan rested on accounting gimmicks and a refusal to acknowledge that the home mortgage crisis could in any way affect the amount of tax revenue the state would collect in the first fiscal quarter and, more important, after the holiday shopping season. But it was no mystery. Lehman Bros. had already declared bankruptcy, American International Group was teetering and the $700-billion federal banking bailout was just around the corner.

We would have billions less spent in government services. We would also have some tax revenue loss from the illegals, but it would be far less than what they use.
The demand for goods would decrease, so there would be a negative for the producers of goods sold.
But with time we would adjust and do just fine.We would probably lose some businesses, but the demand would be less so business would pick up for the remaining businesses which would eventually mean more jobs.
Hospitals would also be able to recover and medical expenses may go down as well.
Our childrens class size would shrink and their level of education would raise.
All the jobs left by illegals would be taken by Americans, so the money would stay and be spent here.
We wouldn't be destroying thousands of acres of wild or farm land to build homes, schools and businesses.
Less demand for electricity, water and oil.
The good far out weighs the bad and that is the fact our government refuses to acknowledge. |

Micky....the resurrection

No, our economy would actually improve. |

In some case it will get better. Billions are spent on welfare, SSI, SSDI, and others special programs. All of this money would be freed up, so to speak. Maria, many illegals would gladly go home on their own if given an incentive to leave. Many have sent money back and are building homes. They want to go back and they plan to but have not taken the initiative to do so.
The government needs to let them know that their jobs are not really coming back and that they will not be able to live off of the system. This will cause the 2 to 3 millions who have money and homes in other countries to go back. We should not focus on every illegal in the USA, just a few at a time. All the gangs and criminals should be rounded up and sent back immediately.
Keep in mind that some illegals are really here to save and are doing it. It represents about 15% because many change their minds once they have tasted success on this side of the border. They decide to stay indefinitely.
Question? Would you leave if you could make $80,000 a year as a housekeeper in Las Vegas? That is the going rate. With less customers filling the hotels, these jobs will be less and less. |

Rounding them up and deporting them all would be devasting to America. The cost to do it would be outrages, and it would cost companies Billions to lose all their hard working employees. That would also mean 12 million less people pumping billions into our economy, and 12 million less people paying taxes. And then we would see more and more US Farms either shut down or move to Mexico where the workers are without immigration issues.
http://www.americanprogress.org/kf/deporting_the_undocumented.pdf
Deporting the Undocumented:
We estimate the costs of a mass deportation effort would likely be at least $206 billion over five years, and could be as high as $230 billion or more.

Illegal immigrants' value to economy? $1.8 trillion
If the 8.1 million undocumented immigrants who cut lawns, bus tables and perform other jobs disappeared overnight, the nation's economy would lose nearly $1.8 trillion in annual spending.
Texas, the second-hardest-hit state after California, would lose 1.2 million undocumented workers and $220.7 billion in expenditures.
These are just some of the findings from a study done by the Perryman Group, a Waco-based economic analysis firm, whose work was commissioned by Americans for Immigration Reform, a group spearheaded by the Greater Houston Partnership.

Study: Illegal worker crackdown would cost employers $1B
The Homeland Security Department issued average costs for employers based on how many employees they have and what percent might be unauthorized workers. It determined there would not be a heavy cost to employers.
That adds up to between 37,000 to 137,000 unable to get work. Belzer estimated their lost wages would be from $8 billion to $37 billion. |

I think so. The US is artificially propped up compared to other developed countries by turning a blind eye to cheap illegal labour. If US companies and citizens suddenly had to pay absolutely everybody at least $15/hr to work like in other countries it would cause a major disruption. |

American economy cannot survive without immigrants. Many Americans have some warped idea that immigrants are causing all the problems in their economy.
Try and remove 12 million people out of you workforce and see what happens. Who clean your toilets? Who will work your fields?
It's all about economics, people go were the jobs are, period. |
