There won't be any repercussions if the relationship is genuine and you can prove it, but if the marriage is only because you want a visa, you will be in major trouble if you're caught. You will be deported and your Aussie husband will face immigration fraud charges.
Read page 39 of the following booklet for an idea of the type of proof you'll be expected to provide. You will each also (separately) have to undergo a difficult interview at which you will both be asked all sorts of questions you couldn't possibly answer if the relationship isn't legit.

If you manage to get a spouse visa, you must live together for at least 2 years before your provisional visa becomes permanent and you won't get citizenship for at least another 2 years after that.
Whether or not he can take your money will depend upon what the divorce court says but in Australia, divorcing partners generally get to keep their own money unless the other partner directly or indirectly contributed to the earning of it. The only ground for divorce here is 12 month's separation; it is completely no fault and can be sued for by either partner without the agreement of the other. |

if it is determined that the marriage is NOT geunine and was done purely for fraudulant reasons (getting aussie PR status) then the immigrant will be deported and the aussie citizen may be jailed or seriously fined. |
