As long as they got their visas and permanent residency, I have no problem with them. People think that those of us who want to close the borders, and deport illegal aliens are racists. Most of us aren't. I'm certainly not. I just don't want ILLEGALS getting in, no matter where they are from. We have a process to get into this country, and if you are to lazy, impatient, or poor to follow it, YOU CAN'T COME IN!! Follow the example of the milions of LEGAL immigrants we have allowed in over the years.

No cause he did it evidently the legal way and did not just cross the border but got the proper channels working and did not expect others to cater to him and I bet he also learned the language of the country that he is in as well , that is always the suprise to me that one that flees a country cause they just do not like it there want to stick to the ways of the country and not try to make a new home at all just the same one that they had there and break the law to do it this immigrant did it the right way

If he is an illegal alien --- then YES, I'm against him. He doesn't belong here. What do children of abusive parents USUALLY do? They go to the police. There are services to protect children in Mexico. It isn't completely anarchy there, regardless of the pictures people try to paint. It's a thriving country with the 12th biggest economy in the world.

I wouldn't be against him now that he is a legal resident. If he shouts viva la rasa...viva mexico....now that he has received the benefit of american generosity I would be against him. if he supports illegal immigration or amnesty for illegal immigrants I would be against him. If he one of those la rasa racists I would be against him.

Given the current attitudes of illegals and those citizens and legal residents supporting them, I want to be sure I'm clear about what I am against.

Come here legally and respect us and our laws and I will say welcome to America. If you feel the need to shout your allegiance to someone how about shouting, " Viva America Viva Americanos! "

You know everyone has a sad story...cry me a river..abusive father who drinks--whoop-t-doo! That is no reason to come to our country illegal THEN apply for your visa. Now in your case you made good-our country was good to you and you have given back from day one. No, I have no anger nor aginist an immigrant or coming to the good 'ol us to better themselves--However, don't use a pathetic story for why the law was broken in the first place--Just thank God your wise and determined..Most are not. For those that are not and come here "for whatever reason" and try to collect on any state/goverment benefits should be detained (no more than 24 hours) then transported back to thier birth country...with no aminities. It's cheaper to have 30 flights a day from each major airport leaving out to different destinations than what we pay out now in supporting the illegals. Think of how many tax dollars we and "you" would be saving. OR--Better yet, send them off for thier 5-year FREE tour of DUTY in the US Military..Then they can come in the US and call themselves legal... What a great idea!

You are trying to negotiate logic with a large crowd of folks that spend most of their lives indoors out of the rain of life, they have very little concept of your presentation to them they simply cant get it , i can clearly see that the person your describing to us has much more drive to win inside of him than most Americans have and for this reason they hate your question already, many don't want anyone else to come to America and be successful because that in its self shows really how big of a looser many of them are because they will not do anything that they are not over payed to do, i know because I'm an American and have friends like that, I've had so many nasty emails from people talking out of their heads with no other thing to say other than I'm trash for having a Latina wife, they have no idea who the real Mexican people are because all they know about is the cholo's, as to your question i have a high level of respect for anyone that climbs to the top because of their hard work and standards from within, everyone will tear you down as you climb up from poverty, and as soon as you arrive at the top those same people say they where always their by your side in the hard times of life.

If he was legal and became an assest to society, then we should use and praise him as an example of how people should be. Of course there worthless citizens who won't due anything for themselves because they feel they are entitled to it. And there are illegal immigrants who come here and have a baby so they don't have to work and can get things for free.
