Yeah I could buy a small country down there, run a drug cartel and take more land, eventually becoming Emperor of Latin America, before my illegitimate son (born of a Latino woman) kills me in a coup to take over as my successor.
God I would be so proud of him. |

why would you? it would be foolish to take the money an lose ones citizenship. secondly with five million, how are you going to stay in latin america? bribing will only get you so far. without a citizenship in any latin american country, you will be deport and or placed in prison. if don't end up in prison or have a citzenship, in said latin america country. if the government destabilizes, were are you going to run to? now if you were and america citizen, you would be able go to a embassy for extraction information and then extraction.
in this time and date, more than one citizenship in another country would be adventageous. i wonder why kiddies? so no, i would not compromise my u.s. citizenship for five million. this country is f@#$%d up in many ways, but i still lover her. i love her for my freedom and rights. it's the idiots that have their heads in their waste their disposal units, that muck everything up. wake up and smell the coffee people and stop caring about the next american idol or if paris hilton has any panties on. |

yeah, then I would spend $10,000 regaining citizenship and then when I get back Id be wealthier than I ever was or will be!
E D I T: And also, if its 5 million, Id be pretty dang rich down there, I could buy a house on a tropical beach or something nice like that |

As tempting as it is, I could not give up my citizenship because to do so would give up the right to return without going through the lengthly immigration process. |

I am American. I moved to South America 15 years ago. No one paid me one cent to move here. If my country becomes a socialist state, I will give up my citizenship as a protest. |
