I hope so! The only way though is to take it.
A problem is that there is such a varied range of ability. Would you deny citizenship to a person 'born and bred' in the UK if they failed a test because of learning difficulites? |

Yes, I believe I could be able to do 'the test'. Any self respecting Brit should be able to. |

Yes easily and most likely a few European countries as well. |

Lots of people can pass any test for citizenship of any particular country but they are still will not mix with that country at all. It is just a test. |

Yes I probably would. |

So why do you persist in making the race relations situation worse by asking - doesn't matter whether we could or couldn't answer - WE DON'T HAVE TO answer it!
ADDED: No chip on this shoulder and if you read back on one of your previous questions you'd see that I answered it in a non racist and complimentary way - you appear to be the one with a chip on the shoulder by tagging this question with the comment 'interested in what the immigration bunch thought'.
The comment by me was to point out the futility of your question and your quest to educate yourself and pass your exams/tests - If I was to move to another country I would expect to be asked about that country - the problem here is - we already have to many immigrants - we do not have the room to continually allow them to come here. As you are studying you must know that 40% of housing was given to immigrants last year to the detriment of our own countrymen and women who immediately go to the back of the queue. Hence the backlash from the public in general - those that wear rose tinted glasses choose not to see the problems and welcome them here with open arms - they refuse to see that the NHS is overwhelmed by immigrants claiming medical help - benefits being sent back to Poland - being given free driving lessons and money to buy cars - this is happening NOW at a Benefits Office near you.
I have no objection to genuine asylum seekers - people in fear of their lives - but can you honestly say that is the reason the majority are here - didn't think so |

Wow they give degrees in racism in the UK no wonder it's such a screwed up country now.
Yes I would pass the test. |

Blimey, as you know they did a test one in the UK not so long ago. I am British and I couldn't answer a lot of them. Who knows stuff like the Patron Saint of this that or the other. Also a cricket question! I'd rather watch a dog poop than watch cricket. Far as I'm concerned, the only way you can show your loyalty to your country or a country you live in, is to learn the language, mix with the indigenous population, don't break the law and contribute to the economy. That doesn't mean forgetting your roots though. When in Rome etc...... |

There is no way I would be able to pass the test. I was talking to my husband about this not to long ago and told him that there are numerous places that offer classes for preparation and that if he chose to change his citizenship then we would look for something here where we live cuz, since I couldn't pass it, I wouldn't be able to help him without getting help elsewhere first.
Jamand and Mark B: Get a life, there wasn't anything racists about her question. Shame on you for being so rude. |

Yes. But I would have to do some revising first. |

Haha, funny you ask. No, I probably wouldn't because I haven't lived in my own country for nigh on 12 years now (I'm 17).
Epic fail, IMO. |

Some one had a sample test on here and I got one wrong. There were alot of people who got none wrong.
Frankly I think the test ask the wrong things. I would rather have the test involve if they are compatible with our culture.
Mine would include them singing and dancing to the infamous Sir mixalot song.
Watch Deuce Bigalow, male gigalo
attend a showing of Rocky horror picture show.
and
Recite the theme song to Gilligan Island
Seriously, People memorize the test, but don't understand the concept of what America is about. |

yes we would. we are tough from kindergarten our country's history. if we don't know our Constitution by the time we graduate from high school we do not graduate. i have come a cross some of the questions asked on the test immigrants take to come to the united states and have answered all correctly. we even learn world history, we have to answer some questions correctly about other country's to. |

My husband had to take it 'cos he's an immigrant and he passed. I would find it hard to pass myself and so say friends/family/colleagues of mine who I have shown the book to. The politics and government section is paticularly difficult. I would like to see any Brit try and pass it. And these idiots who say 'oh, we don't have to take it', are just saying that 'cos they know dam well they wouldn't pass. |

Definitely not. The history of my country pretty much passed me by during highschool and to be honest, I could probably only name 3 or 4 ministers. yes, I am a bad patriot. |
