This is the type of question that makes you actually feel a little bit bad for all immigrants whether legal or not. Why would you be so quick to judge?

I suppose it's possible, but it was most likely a legal citizen of the U.S., who was probably born here. Why do you ask, anyway? I did not see anything in the article to indicate that the shooter may have been an illegal alien.

And by the way, Omaha would not meet my definition of a small town- their population is around 400,000.

What in the world would make you think that? There are plenty of creeps in our citizenry. According to the link you have provided, nothing has been released about the identity of the shooter, and nothing at all was said about whether or not this person may or may not have been illegally here. I think you're just trying to stir things up. I ask you respectfully, please, to knock it off.

Edit: They announced the gunman, who took his own life. The gunman was identified as Robert A. Hawkins, age 19. Apparently he left a suicide note that he wanted to go out in style. Darkwolf deserves best answer... he came darn close.

All shootings are illegal unless done for self-defense purposes, so of course it was illegal.

It was a felony crime. Nowhere does it mentions the ethnicity of the shooter, or status in the US. Not possible to equate a shooting spree with an illegal alien unless it is a known fact.

Unfortunately most of our Public Shooting sprees are perpetrated by Whites, Virginia Tech was an exception.

Blacks and other races tend to kill individually or during a fight, often gang related.

Most public Shooting Sprees that make the national news are carried out by Whites.

They are probably uneducated and think that since the laws do not apply to illegal criminals who are invading us, then the laws don't apply to them either.

If they had better education and were not having their potential undermined by illegals stealing the teachers time then they would know better.

The other option is that it was a White who was so sick of not being served because everyone was busy catering to jabbering Mexican illegals that he just flipped.

Actually, I don't believe this was an illegal. A sniper attack has way too much planning involved for one of them to pull it off. Besides, where'd he get the gun. Because no peaceful illegal looking for better life would ever break the law and buy an illegal gun, now would he? Unless the government has started giving illegals free guns. Y'know, just to give them a "helping hand." Uh, oh. Hope I didn't just give Kennedy and Pelosi a new idea.

This type of crime is more indicitive of someone who identifies as an American Citizen. Mentally disturbed, paranoid, possibly schizophrenic.

this was probably done by a white male between the ages of 28 and 35. High school graduate or dropout with a GED, and some colledge, but no degree beyond a possible associates degree.

First off, Im from Omaha. I worked at Westroads mall at hollister.

Omaha is a fairly big town.

Westroads is in a nice part of Omaha.... North Omaha is pretty bad, but west omaha is not.

He was a 19 year old white boy who lived in Bellevue.

Bellevue is where I grew up being in a military family since Offut is located there. The President actually hid out there for a while during 9/11.

Quit assuming and respect people, this has all of omaha on edge so even if this doesnt affect you, think about the people who it does affect.

Of course it is illegal to shoot someone! To answer your question it was NOT A Illegal alien that did that bad crime it was a young white male who did that bad crime !!! Seriously...I'm waiting. Because it is an area of huge illegal immigration as well as refugees. Waiting to see. It's not like Americans don't commit crimes.....but it's not a typical American crime.

To the above poster I think. There are psychological studies of what is the typical crime done by certain groups. Not concrete by any means but shooting up a mall isn't a typical "American" crime.
