Why do they play the race card? They have tried every tactic they could come up with and none worked. They keep crying 'racist' as if it will eventually work, it won't. They have given us their sob stories, that didn't work:
*"We're just trying to feed our families"
*"Our country is corrupt"
*"We just want a better life"
*"there are no jobs in [wherever]"

Then they started criticizing us:
*"We do jobs Americans won't do"
*"Americans are lazy"
*"We work harder than Americans...

..that didn't work, then they attacked our diverse cultures, tried to divide us: black, Asian, Native American..that didn't work...

So then they tried to claim they were here first..didn't work, Native American Indians were here first....

they tried to claim "there are more Americans that get welfare than illegal immigrants" as justification for non-Americans to get welfare, or "Americans do crime and deal drugs" as justification for non-Americans to illegally enter our country and do crimes.We should and DO deal with OUR internal problems, people who are not suppose to be in the USA should NOT be our problem.

They tried to say we stole their land..we proved them wrong..

History is in the past. WE, the USA, now have laws that say you can NOT come into this country without documentation. Disobeying those laws to gain entry is a serious offense.

They have continually called us all kinds of names. They have no justification for it. They have lost the battle and they know it.

There is none. I hate that stupid race card, no one can give an answer to a question without saying you're a racist. I follow the laws, and wanting other to do the same does not equal racism. This is America still, right? Come here like every legal immigrant. It is difficult, but I have yet to hear a legal immigrant whine about it. I think you and a lot of people are getting a little too worried about the wrong immigrants. Yes, illegal Latinos are a problem.

But the illegal Latinos are not building bombs to blow up our cities, are not conspiring to kill thousands of Americans at a time, are not seeking revenge for what is going on in the Middle East.

All these poor Latinos want is to make a little money to send back home.

There is No justification in my opinion for playing the race card, I know I am not a racist..I think I have been called that more now then EVER in my entire life. It appears from this Y! answers when you try to speak the truth and about History...the race cards come flying. It is not a justification, but an excuse. It's easier to say that those who want illegal immigrants to be deported, or required to become citizens, or fined, etc....are racist...that way you don't have to face the real problem.

BUT my answer.....my final answer.....as someone who wants amnesty I have very rarely called anyone a bigot.

This issue isn't about who we like or don't.....it is much bigger than that. It irritates me as well (on THIS side of the issue) when it is used .

BUT.........I think this subject has led ALOT of people to believe that is OK to BASH Mexicans with out fear of any reprisal. This subject has brought out ALOT of haters who don't know the first thing about the subject but saw a great opportunity to attack and get congratulated for it.
