Yeah..they are human.
Just because their nationality is different, doesn't mean we treat them differently. |

Brits and British mean nothing to me since anyone from anywhere granted a passport can be British. I am indigenous English and believe we already have far too many 'Brits' here, and like most sensible countries should be very selective in whom we allow entry and citizenship. Many who come here have no intention of integrating only of exploiting either the welfare system or NHS. It's time we closed the floodgates, enough is enough. |

No to the first question and no to the second. Its people like this who really piss me off. I wish they would **** off back to there home land. Britain is for british people not for pakistanis and africans and afghans who want to come here and force the british people out. |

No, never! No-one asked me and so I do not feel obliged to treat anyone as a fellow national that I do not feel is one.
Its nothing to do with "hate" but being British is more that just holding a cheap piece of paper (a passport). My wife is French and she would no more say she is British than I would say I suddenly became French when we married!
I would think less of her if she suddenly renounced her "Frenchness", ditto me and my "Englishness". |

no, and before anyone moans at me im not racist, someone who is british in my eyes is born in britain a document does not make you british. |

How do you treat someone as a "Brit"? I just take people as I find them. |

Even if they have a British passport, even though I would not necessarily treat them in a discriminate way, they are still immigrants in my eyes. |

No, not really. Like the pakistanis that open up shop in bradford and build a mini islamabad. Or the chinese students that study here for long enough to get citizenship. A lot of these immigrants have no allegiance for queen or country, but they love our economy and benefits. But our weak government has never had the balls to challenge them, worried about upsetting someone.
I see ladymoon has posted above me, she rocks! |

As long as they are naturalize they are Brits even if they were not born there, they have the same rights as a natural born brit. |

do you know how hard it is to get a british passport?
Once they have a British passport they are British in my eyes. |
|

Everyday's the same again...
 |
what does it matter what passport they have? people should be treated with dignity and respect; someone who set up their home here three generations ago from India, Pakistan or whereever didn't expect their grandchildren to be looked upon as "dirty immigrants" and quite rightly so. In fact - that would make me one! My grandad is South African - so am i a dirty immigrant who shouldn't have a British passport? If they have a British passport - so flippin' what. As for EU immigrants- there is freedom of movement now - so the "precious British passport" means nothing. Anyone can go anywhere.
Good luck as you go through life, if you're bitter and twisted you'll need as much luck as possible. |

They give British passports away like sweets these days. A document does not make you British. If they want to go to a country where a simple piece of paper makes them part of that country they should try America. Being British is a cultural thing, its about being born here and being part of this country, not just having a document with a stamp on it.
This is probably why so many people these days want to be seen as English Welsh or Scottish - because "British" means nothing these days, anyone can be British who has the right documentation. |
