but the guys in Langley, i am afraid no luck, there you have to be an US citizen. that is the official version of course. but if you know something or have a special skill that will be VERY handy for/to them, for sure there will be no problem to bend a few rules. it is done every day.... |

You don't join the CIA. You can apply and they can accept or deny you. More likely they invite you because you already have certain demonstrated skills they require. In all likelihood, for any government position this is true, you have to be at least a naturalized American citizen. |

I don't know if the green card extends to government work, but if it does, prepare to undergo an extremely thorough background check. Other than that, I don't see why not. |

A friend of mine was actively recruited and ended up joining the CIA as a translator after college (he was in the US going to college). He is a Muslim from Morocco. And he speaks 12 languages fluently (which is why they wanted him. They had a shortage of translators in certain languages)!
I wouldn't think that being from Turkey would make a difference if the situation was similar. |
