Yes, it is a load of bull****. I know plenty of US veterans who could really use 5 free years of income tax relief and a free pass at welfare. I also know plenty of homeless people who would LOVE to be able to scrub toilets and serve burgers so that they could eat.

I get so enraged when I see the idiots on TV saying that illegals do the jobs that "Americans won't do". Excuse me fake soccer mom, but have you surveyed all 300 million Americans on their job preference? If that were true, then who scrubs toilets and picks cotton in Mexico? Homeless Americans? Come on.

Bush's plan is to naturalize all these illegals and allow even more to come over the border. This would plunge wages down to practically nothing and would ruin the economy. People, wake up here. Our government has been hijacked by criminals who are bent of distroying our county.

If you are in debt and are an American..and that was your only option for an entry level job or such..i bet you'd be working!!! I guess illegals get the crumby jobs cuz they cant get better if they have no education..and plus are illegal and will get sent back if found!!

In response to Hayden there are a great many jobs in my area that pay a lot more than minimum wage that the Mexicans are doing including construction, warehousing and agriculture

illegals dont work for even the minimum wage here. Do you expect an American to live off of that? You cant even live off of minimum wage and you expect them to just take a j ob that illegals do for like 3 dollars an hour if that or maybe they do get minimum wage still wouldnt be enough for someone

sorry to tell you this but i know from first hand experience that Americana's definitely wont do what "illegals" do. I mean half of my family grew up picking onions and such. (yes that is my illegal side) Most Americans would faint before they picked that first onion. and I'm sure if the homeless would want a job picking onions they probably would go and try to get that job don't you think instead of standing there with a sign that said need food or some ****. But the homeless that just might go and work in an onion field is the one that said "will work for food" .

And the job thing yeah your right about that.
America has some unresolved problems with that.

I understand what you are saying. But I would also like to add, lets start going after these employers! It is just wrong to pay anyone below minimum wage. They are taking advantage of people in a desperate situation to line their own pockets. They are contributing to the problem by hiring illegal immigrants as workers.

How is it that homeless people can go stand on a corner all day, homemade "help me" signs in hand begging for money, yet they cant go fill out an application??!! Sure illegal immigrants take a lot of jobs, but how many illegals have you seen working at your local Walmart, Kmart, Mall, Grocery Store?? Americans cant work at those places? they have to complain about the fact that they cant find a job in farming or construction because its an excuse for the fact that theyre to lazy to get off their a**es and pointing the finger at illegals is their cop out!!

Do you really think all of them would? There are lots of jobs available, as you mention, yet there are a ton of homeless that stand on the street/side of the road and ask others for money. Why are they not seeking out jobs?

Believe me, I know each homeless person has a different story & not all of them are capable of helping themselves. But it sure seems like many opt for the "easy" route.

hey mate,, this is happening maybe bcoz of salary thing,, when they'll hire illegals,,,they can save alot of money for they can just give maybe half of the salary of the citizens and one more thing citizens has so many rights not like illegals they don't have any rights in there ,...... so its the governments concern i think and the employer's maybe knows that tose illegals that you're talking about will do everything to become stable without any complain..... you know what i mean?.........

I would work like crazy for a year too if I could go back to my country and live it up for about 5 years on the savings. Then come back and do it again. The larger families send one man at a time and then when he works here for a year, or if he gets caught and deported, they send his brother or another member of the family. This way they are taking turns and no one else is having to work. Then after saving up a bit, NO one has to work in the family for quite a while. In my eyes, that is called LAZY.

I have seen many homeless people carrying signs that say "will work for food" turn down work when it was offered. They are beggars and want money for nothing. Not all of them of course but quite a few. I can't lump all homeless in the same category but try offering the next homeless person you meet a job and see what happens. As for immigrants you can't lump them all in the same category either but If you try and find a willing American to work the farms of the southwest picking crops for about four or five dollars an hour and twelve hours a day I bet you'd have difficulty getting your crops in. Roofers in the USA, the laborers, want much more than an illegal Mexican will work for and oddly enough, American consumers want the cheapest price for a new roof. So, guess what? You are partially correct and the statement you disagree with is at least partially correct. So, the real question is how the problem can be solved without tripling the costs of bread and lettuce and roofs.

I think you have a little tunnel vision in your views. Just suppose that a lot of the homeless people are sick, old, and have problems Suppose a lot of spoiled Americans will not clean toilets, move garbage, dig yards, wash dishes, do back breaking jobs in the field at any price. Suppose that employers would not pay higher wages if there were no cheap laborers to profiteer from. Suppose you would have to pay higher prices for everything, because of the shortage of cheap labor and suppose you would keep paying more taxes to keep the raising welfare generation that has found that is better not to work at all. And suppose that the Chinese and other cheap world markets would ruin our economy with their cheap labor. Don't you think you are lucky that someone is willing to clean your mess cheap and feed his hungry family and himself with the sweat of his brow? If you want to take a good cause bash the real criminals. Think, there are two types of criminals under the law: bad people that commit bad acts and good people who are categorized criminals by bad laws. I don't think unauthorized immigrants should have privileges of citizenship spontaneously either, let them earn their citizenship by fighting for this country in our wars, pledging loyalty to our government. and contributing honestly with taxes.

hell yeah! Because some of the laziest people on the planet live right here in good ol' USA... Our poor/homeless/trash/lowclass are used to being "kept" by some government agency . I don't think most illegal aliens have that luxury...not to mention the pay is more than most will ever make anywhere else.

No way, 20/20 revealed that some of those homeless dudes pull in some serious cash. And if they went to work, they'd have to be sober. Illegals are not the problem, employers are, they are supposed to, by law, advertise jobs to AMERICANS first. they don't of course and are able to pay these people whatever they want.

First of all, most (MOST) homeless people aren't looking for jobs, they are at the corners of streets asking for $$ for beer or whatever, second ILLEGALS ARE working for less than minimum wage in the fields picking the produce you buy at the grocery stores. Tell me, how many Americans do you know work in the fields picking vegetables or fruit? Isn't it Americans hiring the ILLEGALS for less pay??? If its not Americans, then who is??? ILLEGALS do work the jobs most Americans wouldn't do, it's true whether you believe it or not.

Hey baby, homeless are mentally ill. They will not work nor are they capable for the most part.
Next, whites will not work for what Mexicans do although I wish they would. Now, for what you call your country, you probably are seconed or third generation. Mexicans & Indians owned this land long before you were just a dribble on you mamas leg...By the way, I hate all illegals, especailly the Russian ones. I would ship all of them back.
